Review summary

Just got off the Conquest Thursday. Had a blast! Here's my long review...tried to think of things I kept seeing being asked about. Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk. Took an UberXL from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the Publix, driver waited while I ran in to get wine, soda, and chocolate. Then went to the terminal. We had our own umbrella stroller for the baby. No car seat. Nassau: walked around, explored the island. Caught a taxi to a hole in the wall for fried conch, conch fritters, and rum punch. It was okay. My sister and their crew did the Food and History bus tour and enjoyed it. HMC: My favorite!! Was a beach day for us. Softest sand, most beautiful, clear water. Some fish but not bothersome. Deep enough for all to enjoy, including kids. It spoiled us. Lunch was on Carnival. You had to buy drinks. Lots if water activities available. There were excursions but I didn't see the point at this port. The Tender process was a little unorganized for FTTF but it all worked out. Grand Turk: Since HMC spoiled us, I was not a fan of this beach. Lots of rocks and seaweed. I know, I know...it's a beach. But luckily for me, Margaritaville was 2 feet away so we went there and played in the pool. All was free unless you wanted premium umbrellas but most umbrellas were free. *Mya daughter and I did walk down to Jack's Shack but it was kind of early. Didn't see Topher or Calypso, it was kind of dead. So we walked back to our group.* Cabins: I was in Cabin 2319, which connected with Cabin 2323, both ocean views. It was me, my husband, and our 1 year old. We made our 2 twins into a king. Room was bigger than I expected. My mom, my 8 year old son, and 12 year old daughter were in the 2nd room. They had 2 twins and used the sofa as a 3rd bed. 2 rooms down ( #2309) was my sister, her husband, and their 17 and 12 year old daughters. They made the twins into a king and had the bunk beds. Lots of drawers and cabinet space, 3 closets, and yes, 1 outlet. *Make sure your power strip plug is not in the middle or it will be useless because the outlet is in a corner. My luck!* These were midshipmen cabins. Close to elevators. 1 deck down from our dining room which was great! Laundry room was a few rooms down. 1 iron (free). A few washers and dryers ($3 each). Soap and fabric softeners to buy also. Our air worked great! My mom's room was freezing but maintenance came and saw that something had gotten jammed, preventing it from being adjusted. They fixed it. Was fine after that. Our room steward didn't do anything spectacular but I had no complaints. Kids Camp: All the kids LOVED the camps. The 8 year old was always back by 10pm because we weren't paying extra but the teens didn't come back until 1am when their clubs closed. Lol. I didn't realize it would be like that but it worked out. My mom kept the 1 year old when us other adults went out. We ended up making breakfast, dinner, and lunch mandatory to meet up with the family. Lol. Entertainment: JT was our cruise director but he did say that Matt was coming back for the next cruise. We loved Lip Sync Battle and the Marriage contest! Mom won $500 at the casino and my son won $25 on the pull tabs at Bingo. Black Panther played twice because it was absolutely packed! A Wrinkle in Time was another big hit. Popcorn had no seasoning! Dining: Guy's Burgers was AWESOME! My niece loved the breakfast burritos at Blue Iguanas. Lido deck dinner was horrible. We mostly dined in the MDR, which was fantaastic every night! Glen, Edi, and Ricky were the best! We still ended up eating pizza almost every night as a late snack. Strawberry cheesecake from the coffee shop was DA BEST!! We brought on 1 bottle of wine and 3 12 packs of soda. Ordered 3 cases of water for the room. Left with a case of soda left and just a few bottles of water. We would forget to bring our sodas to lunch and dinner but the lemonade was great! Loved the ice on the Lido deck. Another couple who was with our crew loved The Steakhouse. They also had booked the Chef's Table but missed it because they had the times mixed up. Carnival did try to contact them but couldn't so they didn't get their money back. But all was well. Also, with our baby, we had to keep getting milk. Everyone was accommodating, even late at night. Al we had to do was ask or order room service. Our refrigerator kept it just cold enough. Can't think of much else. Oh...Faster To The Fun (FTTF) was totally worth it for us!!

Great review. This will be our first Carnival cruise. Taking our grandchildren so hope there's not a lot of drunk people.

Nice review. But I think the CD was TJ and one of your waiters was Rucky. We had that trio too! We were on a back2back and had Matt one week and TJ the second week.
