Review summary

Loved the cruise director Josh. Loved the variety of entertainment every night.

Just don't appreciate the set amount of gratuity that we had to pay and we did not know ahead of time. Didn't like the small room but it was clean

Be there early to check in especially if u have children. Everything else was nice except for the formal dining. Everyone has a different taste of foods.

The workers don't get paid much...they depend on tips. It's like a waitress that only gets paid a few dollars. I think most people wouldn't want to work for free. And they work hard.

Don't cruise at all because we don't tip? We all have to tip no choice - if u want to tip More then normal that's your own thing! How rude

bienfang10    8 years ago

The crew works hard they dont get all that much. Maybe u shouldnt cruise no money.

But.... We always tip more than the $12 per person per day. They work really hard

If you don't eat in the dining room you can ask them to reduce your tips. And then eat at the buffet

Its12 per person per day not per cabin

We were on the same cruise. Josh was very good. We had no complaints. Tips are per person and that's very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus everyone else.

I'm not sure who only has to pay $12 a day per cabin, but we are always charged $12 per person per day. But or pvp always asks if we want to pre pay it and we always do. Less to worry about. I wish all pvp's were as great as ours, but i know alot of people book on their own to and end up with surprises

It's only $12 per day per cabin. I think it is very reasonable. I would tip more than that if it wasn't automatic. In fact at the end of the week I leave extra for the steward and dining staff!

Always prepay, no surprises

Pre pay that's what I do

Balconies are bigger than the Divina. You need to read, and ask your C C L planner. Sometimes you have ask about the cost of gratuities, so they add it, then I can budget much better, with a total price.

$12 per day is not that much. That's about what you would tip if you went out to a decent restaurant for dinner. Not knowing about the gratuities is your fault. I think Carnivals rooms are slightly larger than other cruise lines.
