Carnival Conquest

7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)

Sail date: August 21, 2011

Ship: Carnival Conquest

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 13 years ago

Review summary

The ship had a very closed in feel to it: low ceilings and way to much "stuff". The crew was top notch, the food was very good (make sure you go to the speciality restaurant). Weather forced a change of plans which was very disappointing, but not the fault of the crew or cruise line.

Steakhouse was terrific. Food in Monet dining room well cooked, presented, and the variety was excellent.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
More effort than talent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Probably the best feature of the trip. Everyone was helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make the guests comfortable.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Dated look and feel. Too many smoking areas. Good adult pool area.

Cabin / Stateroom

My wife is in a wheelchair so we had a special room. Bath was great, room was small for the chair.
