I wanted to wait until I wasn’t upset anymore , to write a honest review. Ship was beautiful, but overall cruise was disappointing. We are carnival, faithful, but this cruise was disappointing to say the least.

Review summary

Overall, it was OK cruise but for the amount we paid and the duration, the food could have been better and by that I meant that it should’ve been at healthy temperatures. This is the first time getting sick. Yes, we will cruise Carnival again, but it sucked to be down with stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea for three days. So from here on out we’re gonna be skeptical.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Majority of the food, especially in the MDR was lukewarm at best ended up getting food poisoning from Cucina. Basically, we lived off bacon, fruit and pizza the rest of the cruise. I understand there’s multiple options that regular people can have, but I had a gastric bypass and I cannot run from spot to spot and continuously eat to make up for the short comings with the poor quality and temperature of food.

So sad they didn’t have the kids cheeseburgers on this ship. Was one of our favorites on the Mardi Gras.

Serenity Adult-Only Retreat

Casino

2 out of 5

My husband love the casino but it was hard to find slots on our sailing.

Entertainment

Centers Stage is a joke they need to make people register for shows in this venue and close it off. We had to wait more than 1 1/2 hours just catch the circus show for the two of us. Other people are saving like 13 seats. The show had already started and there was no one sitting down. It was ridiculous.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Had food poisoning so we didn’t really get to enjoy it. My husbands employee is from San Juan and he gave us a bunch of tips that we wanted to try but I was too sick to do so.

Disembarkation

Had a delay coming back due to a storm that was in the states. We didn’t get off the ship until 3 PM but it wasn’t carnival’s fault.
