Poor service, food, and childcare was the overall experience on the Celebration.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fast easy service
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food was okay the service was slow and sometimes rude
The unlimited soda machines didn't work and the bar wasn't prepared or wanted to fill sodas
Room service orders were complicated and didn't follow the menu given. The attendants would direct calls to guest services... everyone had different information on what room service entailed.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The roller coaster was fun.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The theater shows were interrupted by people passing through. There wasn't enough seating in venues, you either had to show up extremely early or not go.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
The times for childcare changed daily. One day it was open for two hours and then shut down. The children had to be taken out to be fed and returned. Extremely inconvenient.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Service was slow and met with rudeness from staff.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
Ship's layout on food venues, theater, and (dining, childcare, entertainment) times were difficult to navigate. Our room which was an excel suite had a used vomit bag and the previous guest personal belongings left in our room, wasn't cleaned well before our arrival.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Cabin was beautiful the cleanliness was lacking. Used vomit bag and personal items left from previous guest.
Ship tip
Don't go until the ship has more staff or works out the newness of the ship.
I would agree with your review. Our room had food crumbs everywhere. I've never experienced that on other ships. This cruise was a miss for us and I'm just thankful it wasn't our first and that we know better.
Camp Ocean is not your child’s parents. Yes you have to feed your child. At one time they did take them to Lido for lunch, but that practice has ceased due to allergies and such. On embarkation day when you go to sign them up they give you a schedule of their hours of operation and activities. You could plan your day around it, but only time I took my kids was in the evenings was to see an adult comedy show. Other than that I had my children with me.
Sounds like you had an unusual experience with your room. But most other reviewers give Celebration better reviews. Too bad your cruise was not up the your expectations.
