It was a 9 and a half hour drive for us but we wanted to try a bigger ship than what New Orleans offers. Glad we did. The Breeze was very nice and embark/debark was just as easy if not easier than New Orleans. When ready to drive that long again we will definitely be willing to do a Galveston Port again. Come on Carnival Junilee !!
Embarkation

Very easy. We had faster to the fun and didn’t stop moving until time to verify documents and get photo made. Had a section blocked off just for vip boarding and then called by sections to walk right on the ship. Very easy!

Ate in Blush dining room, had free lunch at Capuccino del Capitano where we got to customize the pasta bowl, tacos at Blue Iguana Cantina, a couple of time at the buffet line, a couple of ice cream cones, had a few sodas and pre purchased water for the room. Everything was excellent. Food was good. The pasta bowl was excellen!. Steakhouse was perfection! Servers were very attentive, polite and always greeted us by name.

Played bingo everytime it was offered and even won some cash. Did some trivia games, went to several showtimes, comedy show, and enjoyed just walking around exploring.

Service and Staff

No was our room steward and she and her team was excellent. Called us by name, knew how we liked our pillows, we told her it was our son in laws bday on the 5th and she even decorated the mirror and had a towel animal party on their bed.
Ship Quality

I loved having a few eating places on level 5 as well as lido. The layout was great, spread out enough that everyone wasn’t alwYs in one area yet still large enough so a group traveling together had plenty of seating for events too.
Cabin / Stateroom

Room 6460 is a “L” room layout. The bed faces the outside with windows on each side of the tv. It has an extra long balcony that was very roomy. The closets and the bathroom were on each side of bed which made it easy for someone to shower, dry and use sink while the other person had the other side of bed to select outfit and dress.
Ship tip
Have at least one cruise in the Breeze. Very pretty ship, great staff, stewards and entertainers. Galveston port very easy to embark and disembark.
Galveston port was very easy to get to and go trough the embark procedure. Employees were good about helping you get into the right lines so you can to the desk you need to be at. The only Galveston excursion we did was Faster To The Fun which put us in the priority check in line which equaled a lot less waiting!
Been here several times so tried a different beach. We booked Paradise Beach (not a Carnival excursion) but was very nice. Great food, beautiful beach and wonderful food. Walked back thru port just to look around and get photos of the ship.
With faster to the sun, we had an appointment time to meet in the mid dining room and was escorted off the ship by priority levels. We had a passport and was through the disembark procedure, customs, had our luggage and out the other side, waiting on our car in 10 to 15 minutes. Very easy!!
