Review summary

I booked this cruise through because they were offering a prepaid gratuities deal. I actually booked for cruises because of that promotion. I will still charged gratuities, I just got off the phone with customer service and I was told that even though she sees the promotion and the email from my booking she cannot pull up the actual reason why my prepaid gratuities weren't paid. She also stated that maybe in the fine print it said I did not qualify for the prepaid gratuity promo that they were offering. I will never book through again I will go directly with Carnival my other three cruises that I booked through she said she can't see it on there either.

I also booked with a third party at the beginning. I now use them to find a cruise then go to the cruise line web site and book there. I get better room that way. And most of the time it is cheaper.

I also booked and paid for gratuities and then a few days later got an email stating there was a promotion and I got gratuities for free. I really hope I don't have the same problem on upcoming trip. I asked her if they are still paid for or not and she said they were

Glad you enjoyed your cruise and I agree, book directly through Carnival. I have never had an issue receiving what was advertised, but I have friends who have booked through third parties and there is always something missing. Cheers to many more great cruises!

Thanks for sharing. I had similar situation on a cruise not booked through cruise line. All my others have gone through cruise company.
