Review summary

Good experience overall! Don’t expect “Nieman Marcus treatment” - Carnival is the “WalMart of Cruise Lines.”

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lots of long lines, but lines moved quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was incredibly good. Drinks were a bit hard to get, due to under-staffed bars and lounges.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Bingo games, hot tubs, pool… all fun!

Entertainment

Did not attend any shows.

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin steward (Arnold) and our waiter at dinner each night (Rommel) were both OUTSTANDING!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is constantly being cleaned and sanitized.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice room, but a power outlet on the bed side would be great. Advice to others: take a 10’-12’ extension cord.

Ship tip

Take an extension cord and an electrical tap so you can power up and charge all of your personal electronics. personal

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
Spacious cruise terminal results in fast-moving lines and No over-crowding.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Well-orgranized port, with spacious walkways, lined with colorful shops.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Needs to be better organized, with clearer signage. Lots of confused people in very crowded stairwells and corridors (surely not in compliance with fire codes.)

When you go to a Carnival, do you think you're at the Ritz Carlton? No...you're at a Carnival. Enjoy what you paid for. Want more...pay more.

Re:. Taking an extension cord. Make sure its NOT surge protected or it will be taken away.

I don’t think it’s Walmart at all.
