Review summary

This Cruise was so much better than the one we took in September. Some other guests that work for carnival claimed that about 14% of the guests that originally paid and were supposed to attend the cruise did not. No explanation on why they couldn't but it would be eye-opening if that amount actually failed their pre-boarding covid test. As a whole, we are just not going to get back to a stress free experience until all this is behind us

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It all went well. About 30 minutes from drop off to boarding. No porters around which was different, so we dropped off the luggage ourselves.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
There's a lot to like and dislike about Carnival food offerings. For us, the food quality was 100% better than the Panorama cruise we went on last month. Everything was generally good to very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were all a little too wary of the hot tubs; but members of the group enjoyed the spa and ropes courses.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We didn't do much, but all activities attended were well done. The white party attendance was sparse. The Halloween costume showing was scheduled at a very late 11pm and was just too late for us to attend.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always good and always Carnival's strongest trait. Cruise Director Erin tried hard to interact with everyone

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I like the design of the Breeze. It's getting a little worn, but the staff kept it clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cove balcony cabin 2310 was a good choice. I would have preferred port side, but I had no complaints with the cabin itself

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We had a late arrival due to a Late night rescue. Once we were allowed to disembark, everyone got off relatively quickly. The downside of this was the parking shuttles had very long waits since everyone quequed up at the same time. Once again, porters we're few.

Aren’t the porters independent contractors? If so, the cruise line really has little control over how many or when they show up

The pork tartlets in the MDR were beyond delicious! The Panorama needs to take a lesson. Texas cruises are definitely the best!

Glad you had a good cruise. Cruising is usually a very social activity, but with the safety protocols and social distancing, it is a slightly different experience. Some good things have come out of this pandemic, though: new muster drill procedure and faster disembarkation due to facial recognition to name two. Hope those changes are permanent 🙂

What was different about the food from the Panorama? Different dishes, better ingredients, prepared better? I went on the Panorama a month after you and it seemed like pretty normal cruise food then so I can't imagine 100% better... but I would love to experience that.
