Review summary

This is a typical carnival cruise. 46% of the passengers were from Texas and 8% from Oklahoma. So for me it didn't feel like a complete escape since I live in that part of the world. Carnival is very bad about up selling you on everything. The evening entertainment was a pretty big disappointment it there was always something to do on the ship. Jamaica is absolutely stunning but I would never go back because the people are animals. The taxi driver tried to rob me.ย

There was machinery behind the room that sounded like an overloaded dryer with metal in it. My fridge had leftover food and drinks in it and there were dirty towels given to me everyday.

Ship tip

The spa offers from day one were offered several times afterwards. If there's something on the agenda that you want to do you must get there 30 minutes early

Why not interact with the crew. They were great. They loved talking about their country. Also. Even by your stats nearly half the passengers were from somewhere other than Texas or Oklahoma. I think you may have issues

Not to change the subject, but I would be willing to wager the percentage of Texans leaving from Galveston is more like 90%, and yes, I'm just guessing. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Animals huh? Then maybe you shouldn't bring that superior attitude to THEIR home.

Ultragrl, I totally understand and agree with what you said. My husband and I were on the mishap of the Triumph. I tell you that was the best trip ever just to being able to spend quality time with my hubby and enjoy the night sky with all the stars amazing. I met lots of people and unfortunately some real idiots too. Sad say but it's true. The media called it the cruise from hell, I called it my extended vacation. Carnival was awesome, it some of the passengers that were horrible. Either we're crazy but like ultragrl did we have sailed on the Triumph 6 more times since then will be again in November. We even sailed on her first trip after the fire. Your cruise is what you make of it, some people never can just be satisfied. Happy cruising everyone โ›ฑโš“๐Ÿšข๐Ÿšข๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸนโœŒ๐Ÿ‘™๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ•

Ultrgrl, you are our hero. The only bad cruise, is the one we do not take.

I was on the Splendor when the engine caught fire - we spent 4 days being towed back to San Diego from Baja area. No power, no cooked meals, non of the amenities you have on a regular cruise... but it was one of my favorite vacations - actually had to interact with others, be civil, overcome challenges, work together... and I went back on the same ship 2 more times. If you look at the opportunity as a positive everything had a bright side :-)

Jamaicans-animals? Racist much?

Ummm! Sometimes I get the feeling that people's attitudes are their biggest problem! I've been on over 20 Carnival cruises and I meet people from all over the world and I've been to Jamaica 6 times with "no problem mon".

Hi mattrwarner.yahoo.com! Sad to see the cruise did not meet your expectations! I find it fascinating how you know the statistics for most of the passengers on your cruise ship! Did you know that 78% of all statistics are made up? Sorry about the evening entertainment not floating your boat (cruise puns!) Perhaps if Chippendales is on a ship you'll receive an offer for one of those sailings! Thank you for cruising and have a wonderful day! :)

Oh FFS. You can stay home and be misrible.

Sounds like you didn't want a cruise, but a jam-packed airplane ride to an overcrowded hotel! The trip is what you make it, and you made sour lemons.
