Review summary

It was my honeymoon, and I was so excited. My experience was not headed to a go start when I saw everyone with cases of  water and sodas and bottles of wine. I was told by that carnival did not allow passengers to bring water and that is not true. You can bring one case of water and one 12 pack of soda per person. I was also promise that a cake would be in my room due to my honey, and it was not there. I had to call carnival and ask about my cake but since my husband heard my conversation it ruined my surprise. I had a balcony room at it was ok. I had to complain several times because I did not receive my towel animals as promised, also the attendant keep putting dirty glasses in my room.  The food was ok but it could have been better. The room service was ok my food often was cold. I could go on and on but I don't have the time . I think I should have tried a different cruise line and also I will book directly with the cruise line because when booking with a travel agency carnival always refers you back to the agency when you have issues .I hope this helps

I have been on 4 different cruise lines and nothing is ever perfect. Unfortunately it is all in the manner in which we handle it. I have been disappointed on cruises as well, but it usually is just one thing and if you just look at all the positives and who you're with, it usually makes up for the cons. I guess I enjoy cruising that much that I expect not everything will be perfect. Too high a expectations will kill your trip everytime.

I agree if you buy a cake you should get it and I respect your opinion with open arms. Im just not type of person to get myself in a frenzy over such a thing. I also agree with the person who wrote this post has the right to have a meltdown over a cake if its that important to them. It's going to be a long long marriage or a very short one . JS

As with any vacation, there is bound to be some imperfections. Personally, I have never really bothered with room service for the same reason I am not a fan of carryout food. By the time it arrives, the temperature is always lacking. I do think it is reasonable to expect a cake package to be executed. I purchased one for my mother's 80th birthday, though I purchased through the Carnival website. We sail in 4 weeks. If your cake was a "promise" from a TA, I would book elsewhere....or perhaps direct with the line.

I agree CF. I don't drink soda but was going to buy a 12 pk of soda for my friend who will be traveling with me to save her money. I decided that's too much effort. I bought her the bubble up pass and ordered bottle water for myself. I still can't believe those who complain about not being able to bring water on board. $2.99 buys it and gets it delivered to your cabin. That is so much better.

Ruth Chris isn't that good for the price Merry Christmas

I'm not lugging around a 12 pack of soda or water on any cruise I go on to save a few bucks that's why you call it vacation ! Seriously a cake & towel animals lol get real ! Cool you got married but do you have any idea how many passengers are celebrating a special event in their lives ? Matter of fact simply just getting to go on a cruise is a call for a celebration in itself . I find it hilarious what people expect for the amount of money you pay to cruise Carnival. Seriously ALL you can eat entertainment , room service etc etc ... & people think they should be eatting at Ruth Chris Steakhouse every meal . A cake that's hilarious ! Merry Xmas

Bottle Water is not allowed. You can order it for $2.99 for 12 bottles. Non-Alcoholic Canned drinks are allowed in carry-on.

you really wanted to tote case of water or soda on a honeymoon cruise....wow....tell him im sorry....

So did you have a great honeymoon? As you will find out with marriage life is not perfect and we all make mistakes. With marriage we are not happy we get divorce if not happy on cruise we find another cruise line. Merry Christmas

I doubt that anyone was actually bringing BOTTLED water on board as they no longer allow this. One 12 pack of soda IN CANS per person is allowed. And one bottle of wine per person is allowed and they clearly tell you all of that on their website. Research is a powerful self help tool that all travelers would be to use prior to traveling.

Congrats on your wedding but sorry for your troubles. Your TA is supposed to advocate on your behalf with the cruiseline to make sure you are satisfied, so I agree with the other 2 posts. I always book through carnival and never have an issue. my vacation planner's name is Carleen and she's the best---if you want to try again.

Congrats on your wedding! But it seems your TA may have let you down.

Carnival tells you right on there website what you can bring on. I've never had a problem when I have ordered everything I've needed directly threw them. Maybe you should write a bad review on the travel agents website.
