Review summary

New ship but had a number of issues that were still being resolved while on the boat. Extremely noisy stateroom. We were moved to this location after adding 2 family members despite warnings about the noise problems in this area of the 6th floor area. Itinerary is very exhausting. Ports are often far from the prime locations (90+ min each way) so spend more time being transported than enjoying locations. Entertainment in some cases was a bust i.e. used fake names to make jokes and hypnotist was a farce. Endless jokes about late passengers (the Hoffman's) and many on the ship felt this was another fake name and couple as proven with the sketch. Have special dietary needs and dining room was extremely accommodating. This did not carry through when needed to use other dining rooms i.e. lunch and early breakfast.

Entertainment director was a bore with tired jokes\, very intrusive announcements. At one point\, said he was hosting an event but had NO IDEA what the event was about. Other announcements led to some potential alzheimer moments. Forget extension to spa. Forgot what he was saying in the middle of a number of announcements. Entertainment in some cases was a bust i.e. used fake names to make jokes and hypnotist was a farce. Endless jokes about late passengers (the Hoffman's) and many on the ship felt this was another fake name and couple as proven with the sketch. Way too many people pushing for spa services. At one point asked for directions to exercise center and were lured into yet another spa tour.

Very pleased with the facilities and events for my son. He has some special needs (aspergers) and staff was very accommodating in redirecting him and helping him have a great experience.

Kudos to dining room manager and stewards for helping me. Have special dietary needs and dining room was extremely accommodating. Made special desserts.

Ship Quality

Noisy stateroom. Public areas kept very clean. Watched 2 different sweepers sweeping the same 24\" area 5 minutes apart. Many bathrooms often difficult to find. Water slide had some problems where maintenance person was working in the area leading to my son incurring an injury (stitches). Should have been handled differently or blocked off with caution cones. Lots of young child not being watched by parents near the slide\, climbing area etc. Son contended with 4 unaccompanied bullying children in the sports floor area on several different early evenings.

Very noisy stateroom. Suggest looking at websites which report on noise issues on specific floors and areas of different ships before making reservation. Nice balcony.
