Had a nice time. Won’t sail on this ship again. It’s age is showing. See the rest of my comments. But remember a bad day cruising is still better than a good day working! Looking forward to my next Princess Cruise on the Ruby Princess.
Embarkation

Since they needed to do enhanced cleaning and they had a ton of B2B cruisers it was slower than usual but waiting in the elite lounge was comfortable. Maybe if people washed their hands without a fuss norovirus wouldn’t be an issue.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was generally good. Buffett was actually better than MDR as was international cafe. MDR was an excruciating 2.5 hour meal. MDR breakfast was boring, bland and took way too long. Burgers and pizza were very good from lido deck.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Shows were okay. Have seen better but have also seen worse. I enjoyed the Broadway dance show but thought vocalist were loud but not that great. CD Jody has her own show in another venue that I thought was okay. I liked the guitar player, terry and the violinist. The other activities were kind of boring. Trivia won over and over by the same few people (using same questions from the cruise before and they were B2B guests - took the fun out of it). DJ Sneed was fun. Some of the activities you signed up for had such a small limit of participants and it’s boring watching others do all the stuff (painting, crafts). Board games were fun but not many people wanted to play or didn’t want strangers in their group.

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Often felt ignored except by a few servers, one in Crooners and two at the cafe plus the people doing coffee on lido. My cabin steward while pleasant didn’t seem to understand what do not disturb meant and bothered me way to often when I want to rest. One evening he knocked four separate times and I was ready to snap! Day one he asked about preferences and then ignored them for seven days!
One of the waiter supervisors was a total pill to me multiple times since on day three at breakfast I asked not to be seated at the table I had previously since I didn’t feel like sitting smack dab in the middle of the aisle while everyone walking by bumped my table. He made a scene over it and I had to report him to dining room manager. He then smirked at me every time he saw me! Juvenile behavior.
Ship Quality

Ship was clean but her age is showing. Absolutely needs a big upgrade. The layout is fine but very small areas to sit and the piazza is extremely small.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Clean and fairly quiet but location was above theater balcony. The vibration was fine but their was a higher pitched sound, likely from vocals that drove me batty a few nights. It ended early though.
Cabin is obstructed view but still decent and let in plenty of light. Overall location good but you will get plenty of steps in.
Ship tip
I would cruise on a newer or more updated ship however if you’re on this one, make sure you have a coffee and dessert from international cafe.
My room steward never returned with my luggage tags he promised to deliver so I had to carry off. Not a huge deal since I pack light but when I wanted him to bother me he was never around! Disembarkation was fairly quick though I had time for breakfast first without rushing. Other pax were horrible running into people and being very rude in line because apparently you win a prize if you disembark first (haha). One guy was literally running over people with his bags!
Passport holders breezed right through. Fairly long line even early (8:15) for birth certificate holders. In cab and at airport by 9. Cab driver was the usual jerk I get stuck with. Wants cash only and was rude to my passenger (I shared a ride with a fellow cruiser). Next time I’ll wait for Lyft
Ladygreenwood - I’m still hopeful! Perhaps if they had more staffing it would make a difference for me. Not sure if that clouded my judgement of the cruise overall.
