Review summary

Even with an itinerary change due to the storms I really enjoyed every single port we visited. I also really enjoyed the dining options and service was great throughout the cruise. What I wish is that I really listened to the reviews that said Princess caters to an older crowd. My husband and I are in our late 40s and found the activities or lack thereof BORING! We took advantage of a few days of R & R but at some point there should have been something fun to do for those under 65yrs old (no offense) this boat offered nothing! I did not want to partake in knitter & knatters, nor did I want to join the choir, or enter a paper plane contest. We even tried Skywalkers Club a of couple nights but that was a bust as well... maybe 15-20 ppl each night. Were it not for on-demand in our room and the drink package all would have been lost... so for all those on the fence trust when I say this boat caters to a much older crowd.

Nice thing about cruising, there are ships like Princess for those who want laid back fun and Carnival for those who need constant stimulation, and a range in between.

We went onCaribbean princess over 10 years ago and have not been back to princess for the same reason in our early 50s and not ready for that yet.

You young whippersnappers think you have to be entertained after 9 pm, when the rest of us are already soaking our dentures and looking forward to an active evening of getting up to go to the toilet every 30 minutes! If I ever see you on one of my cruises, I will clog the hallway and elevators with my mobility scooter! (Just kidding. I couldn't help it.)

Glad you enjoyed. At least you didn't have to cook or clean. You're right about what your research revealed. Princess generally caters to an older demographic, especially on the longer cruises. At least now you know which cruise line to consider in your golden years.

Not in my case, have been Cruising on Princess for thirty years and never had this problem, have been on 45 cruise’s and only party festive cruises were on Carnival who owns Princess and Cunard. You will find every cruise is different, time of year, where it goes. Over 200 days on Princess ,not what we have experienced. RCCL this time, hope it will be great, 8th time on Royal ships.

Haha. That is me! We are so active all year, a vacation of relaxing over coffee or drinks while on board suits us well. We are early 50s and love the peace...playing in port is our active time...you are right it is a mature crowd! I love it!
