Review summary

The Coral Dining room was the best place to eat on the ship. Ivan, the head waiter, was excellent at making sure my dietary needs were met & the food exceeded my expectations. He was always friendly & helpful when needing explanation of unfamiliar dishes. The chef's choice for dessert was always a yummy surprise. Totally 5+ stars! On the flip side, the BBQ place was absolutely horrible! I think the name of it was Planks BBQ. It had a cover charge and not only was the food barely to not at all edible, but the customer service was extremely disappointing. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food, and that was after having a 2 day advance reservation! Never waist your extra money or your time going there. Save your stomach and go eat at the World Market (which is like buffet all the time), or the Coral Dining Room. The World Market was good since there were tons of different yummy options and whatnot, but since I have special dietary needs, buffets are a little tricky. Skywalkers was a beautiful night club, but they did not keep it cool enough in there and the dance floor was not large enough for everyone that wanted to dance, which made us all sort of take turns dancing if you know what I mean. The entrance to Skywalkers was really awesome though. Very well done. I'd give it a 4 overall. The entertainment was amazing overall. I would give it a 4.5. There was only 1 show all week that disappointed me (so not too shabby). AJ, the piano man, was absolutely the best entertainment at night. I'd give his performance a 5. There were many different types of entertainment in the Piazza throughout the week and almost all of it was really good. There was usually 1-2 main shows at night, and several other options for entertainment. There sometimes when I wanted to be 2 places at the same time. Most of the entertainment, whichever type we chose, was really good. The Lotus Spa was fabulous! If you need to relax, get a spa treatment. I got 3 treatments and the only one that disappointed me was the pedicure. The lady I had let me leave before the polish was dried so within a few minutes it was messed up. The messages were absolutely amazing! The ladies were both helpful in giving relaxation tips and how to better take care of my skin ideas. So sweet. Our room steward, Jovito, was always friendly, smiling, and kept our room looking beautiful. The only disappointment in this was that on my Royal Caribbean Cruise I got little towel animals & napkins that were folded in cute unique ways, but on Caribbean Princess we just got 1 chocolate on our pillow every night. Granted, love the chocolate, but it's hard to beat awesome animal towels. One of the biggest issues was that Princess does not give you the entire weeks schedule for you to create your itinerary all at once. They give you 1 day itinerary at a time, the night before. So, for making advanced plans we had several overlapping problems simply because Princess refused to tell us the schedule. Not wise at all. Very frustrating throughout the week, and some things we couldn't rearrange, which disappointed us. Huge 1 star to that. Overall I would rank the Caribbean Princess 3 stars because although they have some aspects 4-5 stars, there are also aspects that are 1-2 stars.
