Review summary

The ship was the largest we have cruised on but didn't seem to have as many activities that interested us as much the smaller ships. Our cabin was nice - mini suite with balcony. Our room steward was on the ball and our room was always cleaned when we left and returned. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Food and Dining

The pizza on deck is the best. The food in the dining room (anytime dining) was very good but the food in Horizon Court (buffet) was only so-so. Service in horizon court was lacking - we continually had to flag down someone for drinks (coffee, tea, juice, etc.) as they were either chatting with other cruisers or other waiters.

Entertainment

The productions performed in the theater were outstanding. Very professional and entertaining. Other than that, there wasn't much we were interested in on a daily basis except for Bingo, which we played one time due to the cost.

Service and Staff

For the most part, the staff was friendly and helpful although there were some exceptions. Our room steward was always friendly and make a point to tell us to have a good day.

The public areas were clean and very attractive. Loved the theater seats.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our mini suite was very clean, comfortable and quiet for resting even though it was just around the corner from the elevators. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony.

Pros: The room accommodations with a balcony; food in the dining room; pizza on deck

Cons: Long lines (over 1 hour) to check in; Food in Horizon Court buffet was so-so; service was lacking what we have experienced on previous cruises

Recommends Caribbean Princess? Yes!
