P&O rip off!!!! Flaam railway trip just come on website to purchase £98.00 per person. The railway company state the trains are sold out for that day so P&O can charge what they like. Double the price of the trip if booked directly with railway... Railway 5 min walk from ship. P&O you are a disgrace!!!

Quick update to all, nearer the cruise time the Railway company have started to sell the tickets again online.... Take note the researches out there 😉

This is meant to review the ship not the price of a shore excursion? And research is key. You should have looked that up before you paid your money. They do the same as any other company; put prices high so they can make a profit knowing that people will buy it.

Er...we did book independently three times as my previous message stated. My point is that you can book this trip for a lot less money if you get your act together and book it early. If you want to book with a cruise line expect to pay the requisite price

theprinces, it's not a rip off!!! The title is P&O rip off I cannot comment on other cruise companies as I am only affected by P&O... It is quite clear you are very rich, I have to respect the money I spend and look at the value of items or services that we use and will report or let people know when you are being ripped off. This post is intended to let people know what companies are doing so you can book independently before cruise companies buy all slots. Enjoy your perfect world up in the clouds...

It’s not a rip-off is it. This is the type of price you would pay with any cruise line. You can always book independently if you give it enough time. We’ve been on the train three times and have never booked through the cruise line

The only advantage of booking with the cruise company's is that if there was a delay the cruise ship would have to wait for you, booking independently if you are not back in time it can sail away and leave you stranded 🤔

We did the Flam railway with RCI last may & the price was similar. This train trip is always sold out. 1st time we went was on Ventura back in 2010, didn't book as too dear, people suggested book locally to save money. However they didn't say that you can't get tickets locally as sold months in advance to cruise companies. Went in May & it was worth every penny.

I hope you have a good trip... Like you say all the other ports are easy to do yourself...

Thought it was a bit of a rip off mark up so booked the Norway in a Nutshell tour with them instead seemed better value, trip one-way on Flam Railway then another train to Voss a lunch and a coach trip a whole day for £25 more. Still expensive but seems more for your money. I'm doing all the other excursions independently which is easy from what I have read.

Guide provided and its more than just the train trip. You also skip the long lines. Bit pricey but most p&o excursions are.

I did not and wouldn't have, however my wife wanted to do the train trip and has paid... I agree it's business and they should charge for arranging however you cannot justify them making the same as the company providing the service that is a disgrace... Of the 4 cruises I have been on this is the first excursion and will be the last... Simples

Its business. Don't buy a ticket.
