Review summary

This was my first cruise but friends and family have cruised before with Royal Caribbean so I probably had too high expectations. For a mini cruise this boat is fine and I'd repeat the experience but I can't imagine being on it for a couple of weeks because there isn't an awful lot to do. Our cabin was clean and comfortable and the staff everywhere were great. The food was just OK. The buffet restaurant was like those in a budget all-inclusive hotel. We didn't try any restaurant costing extra but did eat in a regular one and again it had a budget feel to it - stale bread, acceptable courses, boring cheese board. Nothing deadful but nothing to impress.

Agree with CC1 doing our 5th cruise Britannia in 53 days never had a problem with the food or entertainment. Lovely ship, cant wait to board her again.

How can you get bored on a ship like that. Went on a 14 night cruise on her and never got bored once and the food was exceptional!!!!!

Britannia was great in many ways but if you want the "great" food then you have to pay to eat at the speciality restaurants. The service is very much a "no" attitude which is a shame and a far cry from any of the new big American ships. If this was your first cruise, then you would be impressed but if you have cruised Celebrity or Royal Caribbean then I think you would be a little disappointed. The Epicuran was really nice - not Michelin quality but well presented and much better service than the main dining room. Im not sure I'd cruise again with P&O which is a shame !

Went on this ship the first year it set sail. I'm not old ( 47 ) and it's as high as I'd want to go. For the size there could be more to do but to be honest if you get involved then there is always plenty of things to do on most P&O ships. There not Butlins. Staff are all very good for the hours they have to work. Respect what they have to do everyday and their as friendly as anyone can be. For a new ship though I personally thought the ship lacked character and sole like the older ships. Colours were a beige and brown Premiere Inn afair. Liked the main Restaurant and where you had your breakfast and lunch layout though. All in all 7 / 10.

Why would you go on a ship again that you experienced boredom, stale bread, budget buffet and just ok food. Lots more other cruise lines out there.

Been on 3 cruises and the problem has always been finding time to fit in all we wanted to do! Never had time to be bored.
