Review summary

Im not a negative person at all, but this ship was definitely lacking in the hype. We are comparing Brilliance to 2 other RCCL ships and we would not cruise Brilliance again. The other two ships, we would cruise again in a heartbeat!! My husband and I like to watch all the events from poolside. There were only 2 worth watching...belly flop contest and sexiest man. The shows were lacking as well. I fell asleep during one show, and in some of the others we walked out. The ventriloquist show was good and the last nights farewell show with the comedian was decent. We also couldn't figure out why the Love and Marriage show was at 3:00 in the afternoon. The other cruises offered this show for late night as it wasn't appropriate for children. I'm glad we had a nice size room with a balcony bc we spent more time in our stateroom than ever before. The downfall to the balcony room was the noise from the other balcony rooms...doors constantly slamming all hours of the night. The service was good, food was good, dinning staff for table 405 was good as well.

I actually had a fantastic time been on Brilliance before and had a great time then. I haven’t been on many 3-5 night cruises mainly 7 nights but I thought it was great for the length of the cruise. The cruise director had back injury for a couple days so it’s understandable why he wasn’t around much. The love and marriage game normally is a night show but I figured because they had the main theater booked with other shows. Most guest no not to bring there children in. I think it’s good kind of because it allows parents to take there kids to adventure ocean and be able to watch the show. At night it’s normally after 10pm not sure how late adventure ocean is open, parents may miss the show. It’s was a short cruise and I thought it was great!! Very relaxing, great food, great staff! I don’t expect every cruise to be perfect it’s all in what you put into it😀
