Review summary

I think that the itinerary was amazing, the Norwegian fjords were beautiful and the ship was well thought out. I just thought that the buffet food quality was very poor and they didn't put much effort into food like they advertise on their website. But apart from that the cruise was amazing. I do recommend the Norwegian fjords but possibly not as your first cruise and I wouldn't recommend P&o as your first cruise line as you wouldn't want to necessarily cruise after going with them.

Why ffojds not a good idea as a cruise?? Would of thought that is the best way to see them?? Perhaps on a smaller ship as I imagine the port calls would become swamped

Well I've been on two cruises before on Royal Caribbean and the buffet was much better and I also ate at the dining room on Azura which the food 90% of the time was brilliant so to be honest I'm not that fussy but I can just spot the difference between good and poor qualities of food

I went on Brittania a few months ago, if that had been my first cruise I wouldn’t cruise again, the staff, food and ambience were the worst I’ve experienced on any ship, I have been talked into trying Azura next, I’m really hoping it lives up to everything I’ve heard -all I want is nice staff, good entertainments, nice food and fun !

I always avoid the buffets!you could go Marco Polo or Thompson instead but then again you wouldn't want to go cruising again if you went with them either😁

I'm not particularly fussy but if the only food you tried on a cruise with P&O was the buffet you'd probably find it disappointing, I think the comment is a fair assessment and it's why I usually swerve the buffet, unless it's after 11 at night and I want to soak up some alcohol 😁 and would never do breakfast in the buffet what a chore that is.
