We have done 30 ocean cruises and this was our 1st river cruise. Being an active person, I was a little worried this would be to laid back for me but boy was I mistaken. Avalon did a spectacular job of scheduling land excursions in at all the right times. Our weather was great-which was a big plus for making this such a great vacation.

The food was great with dishes served representing the different areas flavors and the happy hour before dinner was right on.

Being a river boat, there weren't many activities aboard ship, but that's O.K. It allowed us to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The classical string concert was great, we also enjoyed the band and the pianist who played and sang every night was super.

The cabin was perfect, very clean and the beds and linens were so comfortable. We really enjoyed the open wall sliders.
We did a 5 day Globus tour, "The Top Of Switzerland" before getting on the ship and would highly recommend this as it aloud us to see some of the spectacular parts of Switzerland.
