Review summary

We've sailed with Royal Caribbean on numerous occasions and they have once again delivered a wonderful cruise with great entertainer and fantastic staff.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
A very smooth embarkation which took marginally longer than normal. The only difficulty was trying to find everything needed on my phone (e.g. proof of vaccination, covid tests etc.)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had both the deluxe beverage packages and unlimited speciality dining and they proved to be excellent purchases. The food and drinks were superb. Chops Grill, Izumi and Wonderland were all amazing and Jamie's was decent enough, but definitely the lesser of the speciality restaurants. Definitely give the Bionic Bar a try. I thought it was just a gimmick, but the cocktails were seriously good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Whilst we spent the week chilling, the choice of activities was vast. There's loads to do and you won't be bored. I did miss not having the mini golf though, unlike other Royal Caribbean ships we've sailed on.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was great and varied. Spectra's Cabaret was incredible, We Will Rock You was great and they also had an adult comedian who wouldn't have been to everyone's taste, but I loved the fact that Royal Caribbean treated their customers as adults and gave us the choice. There was loads of great live music on-board, special mentions to the Caribbean band who put a massive smile on our faces for the duration of their set and also to the Dukes.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
With the exception of staff in the shops who pounce on you the second you walk in, all staff we encountered were excellent with superb customer service skills.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The longer we were on-board Anthem of the Seas, the more we loved it. Brilliantly designed and incredibly light, airy and spacious.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
A beautifully designed cabin in a fantastic location. Despite being midship and close to elevators, it was so peaceful.

Ship tip

Be sure to pick a good seat for the amazing Spectra's Cabaret. Get as close to the front as you can. Don't worry, you won't be picked on and you won't be disappointed.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
A really slick, faultless disembarkation. Brilliant job.
