This was our first cruise and we loved everything about it! We will definitely be cruising again with Royal Caribbean.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was very smooth and a lot farther than I had expected! We arrived to cape liberty around 9:30 and pulled up and dropped our suitcases off and went and found parking on the second level of the parking garage proceeded to follow the signs and get inside and was a very fast moving line got stamped and moved to seated sat for about 10 minutes and we boarding the ship!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate at American icon grill 3 times and I thought it was very good and the service was fast. WindJammer was also good but my favorite was breakfast there I would get my breakfast and eat outside. We didn’t try and specialty restaurants but we did order room service dinner the last night and it was really good! Overall we enjoyed everything we ate.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We watched all the shows and thought they were all great although spectra was a bit weird. We loved the solarium around 7pm it was empty and we would enjoy the hot tubs to ourselves! We didn’t do the ifly or any of that we’re not much for heights but we watched and thought it was really cool!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We watched the non jovi tribute band and they were amazing!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward, Lance was so accommodating and helped us get everything we needed ( I requested distilled water for my cpap machine ) and my husband requested a fan. He was always very friendly. The waiters in the main dining room were all also very good and friendly. I was struggling once in the windjammer I had dropped my cup and someone raced over to help me and refilled my cup for me! I never met anyone that wasn’t happy and willing to help.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We have never been on another ship so to us we were in awe at how amazing the anthem is. Wow is she beautiful! The staff were always cleaning, I would see them wiping hand rails, mopping, vacuuming and always working hard to keep her shining!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We originally had an inside cabin on deck 10 but we did the Royal up program and won a ocean view cabin on deck 3, it was a handicap room but that’s ok it was very spacious. I’m so glad we have an ocean view we spend a lot of time watching out the window.
Ship tip
Something I wish I had know is you can enter the solarium from a “secret door” on deck 13. I wish I had known this so I could have bypassed walking through all the crowded pool areas
Disembarkation just like embarkation was very easy. We carried our own luggage out so we could get off the ship first. We woke up at 6 and and we’re in our car at 7. Very fast and easy.
