Review summary

This was my 1st cruise and me and my family loved it. Food and waiters were great. Entertainment was excellent. I loved the adult pool but put your towel out first thing in the morning or you will not find a chair. There was a bad virus going around ship but staff kept everything very clean and we did not get it. The only bad thing was it was very unorganized getting on boat to go to coco kay. You have to wait till they call your ticket number and it was chaos. I do hope they solve this problem. I would love to sail on anthem again.

Wow, what a shock that you're a chair saver!! You people and your self entitlement. How can you say tendering is unorganized?? Royal is one of the best at it. You obviously just had no clue how it works.

We were told by a ship employee that they will not remove any towels from the chairs if there is personal property on it. Books, chair clips ect. As they would be open for a lawsuit. It really screws it up for everyone else.

I have NEVER had to stalk a chair. Get my drink, go to deck ABOVE pool overlooking all of the chaos. Wait staff still serves drinks up there and I get the sun, the breeze, the music and restroom just steps away! LOVE Anthem! Can't wait for December 14th!

I go in the pool and maybe get a drink or quick snack . I never left chair for 2 hours. That is inconsiderate but people did it and get away with it

I understand the pool thing. If you go into the pool, I don’t see the problem with leaving the stuff on the chair, no matter how long you are in the pool. The last 2 cruises, my hubby and I walked around trying to find chairs that you could tell had been saved forever. And not for people in pools. We were lucky the last cruise we found probably a couple of the last chairs available.

The rule is very clear when it comes to Leaving a towel to save a chair..I take a pic of the chair wait 30 min if still there I move the towel take the spot and I have a pic of time record to prove they are the ones who broke the rule and I had every right to move their towel.

If you are leaving a towel while you're in the pool, I don't have a problem with that. However,if you're leaving a towel to reserve a chair for 2 hours later that's very inconsiderate of other people and because of the rest of the people do it does not make it right.

I'm really not trying to start a fight blondie17, that's not me at all. I probably shouldn't have commented, but I lost control for a minute because it's one of my pet peeves. I won't comment on this again, but to answer your question, I walk around until I find an open spot. It's usually not my first or second choice of a location, but I eventually find something.

While I appreciate what your saying the reality is if you want to have a seat you have to do this, where do you go after you get out of pool if you dont have a chair? Back to the room in the middle of the day?

I have been on many cruises and have never, not once, saved a seat with towels to occupy later. Thats just rude and inconsiderate and I will never join those hundreds of others doing it.

I have saw the attendants move them also they wait maybe 10 minutes and they remove it

In the summer on anthem the attendants removed the towels and personal belongings from chairs and we witnessed several arguments with cruisers and the staff. Have to say I had to laugh because people walk away from their chairs for hours and leave a book there to hold it. If you don't sit on that chair all day don't save it. Be respectful to other cruisers.

We have booked a junior suite this cruise. Only because it will bring us to diamond. The chair issue is constantly a problem. You have no choice but to put claim on a chair with a towel. When we were on the Serenade two weeks ago, the pool attendant and one of the officers mentioned that they do not remove any personal property or towels. So it doesn't leave any option. Sad!😖😖
