Ama knew the lock was broken on Danube route before cruise start date but didn't tell passengers and didn't cancel. As a result, 140 passengers flew to Budapest for a "cruise to nowhere". First night buffet was awful: fried food over bunsen burners, no veg options, and serve yourself grocery store wine. Next day bussed to Vienna where we were stuck in dock for next 5 days. Cruise manager and captain said daily that ship would leave soon. Three bus excursions of middling quality. Ama promised passengers would be "taken care of" and "compensated" for lack of excursions and inability to cruise. We later discovered that the lock was broken on September 14 (photo attached) - four days before cruise start date, info which Ama withheld from passengers. Post-trip, Ama "customer relations" department offered 65% of cost to be used on a future cruise (!). Three weeks of protests resulted in no further relief. Ama should be ashamed for treating its passengers this way. Never cruising with them again and would discourage others from doing so.
