Absolutely amazing!1 by lisaluvv

Very relaxing, exciting cruise. There is literally something for everyone to do all day and most of the night. Staff was amazing. Food was great and if you don’t like food, they well bring you a different meal. They literally went above and beyond to make my family’s cruise experience amazing. Labadee is oh so amazing and pictures does not do this island justice.

Ship lacks needed air conditioning. Everything cost extra. Windjammer was limited on hours. Nothing to do during port days. Everything was shut down. Ship was beautiful and clean.

Beautiful Ship by linblahyj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was beautiful. Our cabin was not. This was our 6th cruise & always have the same type cabin, traveling with 2 older children. We’ve always had the upper bunks that come out from above the main bed & assumed it would be the same. This time the sofa made into the extra sleep space with ABSOLUTELY no room to move in the cabin at all. I wish I would have known about this cabin configuration when I booked it because I definitely would NOT have chosen this. Very disappointed

So much better than anticipated! by patsyjo51149138

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Absolutely loved the cruise - organization and the attitude of staff were amazing and made it all so much fun. There was plenty to do and always professional entertainment if desired; however just relaxing on the balcony or during meals was always an option. Very smooth trip even in rain and wind at night.

Second time on Allure of the Seas and another great experience! by nijah2012851691

The Allure of the Seas by Royal Caribbean is a fantasyic ship! This was my second time on this ship and I had another great experience. The entertainment is spectacular and the onboard activities kept us going throughout the long days at sea.

Old Ship that needs to be re-furbished and uncaring/rude crew by frcastrodad58

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

First 2 days on board the main upper deck dining room they only opened one side of the entire dining room (1/2). I asked a dining staff officer, he said they were getting ready for lunch. Ok, so why was the same side closed during lunch. They lied and thought no one would notice. It gave me the impression of a lazy and uncaring dining room staff starting with the officers and ending with the waiters! Very dishonest and lazy staff. We had to wait in line daily to get into the top deck dining facility for breakfast and lunch. The tables were almost always dirty. I did not see the staff cleaning the tables expeditiously so others can use the table. If you wanted to sit down you had to clean your own table. Again, gave the impression of a lazy and uncaring staff. One night I went to the main dining room on the 4th floor and they treated my wife and I as if was not welcomed, we were a burden. First, they had us wait for a table than said we had to go to the 6th floor dining room for a table. I understand this is a busy time but no excuse for making me and my wife feel ignored and unwelcomed. The waiters need to be more decent and polite. No one came to introduce themselves as our waiter. I had to stop a waiter to get their attention for anything. Each time I needed anything I had to stop a waiter. Then they acted like we were bothering them. One female waiter even was very rude when I asked for more melted butter for the lobster tail. I was so upset when we left there that I told another officer outside the mess about this and nothing happened. I also went to the front customer service desk and complained again. The next day after we came back to our room there was a plate of strawberries covered with chocolate with a business card. No explanation or apologies? By the way, they strawberries were not good. What about a hand-written note from the head waiter saying he was sorry! Oh, I know, he was too busy. On another night, I witnessed an older woman being ignored also. She was asking for a smaller spoon for the small child she was with and the waiter just blew her off. She could not leave the child alone at the table to go find the spoon. However, the waiter didn’t care, he walked away. If he did not understand English, he should have asked another waiter for help. I had to go and find a small spoon and give it to the older lady. I guess I should be paid for my service. I did his job. Another night my wife and I went to shop during the purse sale. The person that helped us was friendly and convinced my wife to purchase another purse. When we finished Carolina (Royal Caribbean employee) gave me a “VIP” card for an additional discount in the wrist watch store. She told to ask for Carlos. We did and he was busy with another customer. Since he was taking a long time he asked the other employee to help us. When I found a watch I wanted (Citizen), I showed him the card Carolina gave me that night and asked him about the additional discount she had told me about. He said No, the watch had been discounted 35% and that was it. Ok, but then why do the other Royal Caribbean employees tell you about the additional discount? Again, with the lies, this time to get you in the door to spend more money? That’s the ships theme? I also saw that there was no cleaning during the cruise. In other cruises I have always notice someone in all areas constantly cleaning the floors and bathrooms and general facilities. On this ship I did not see that emphasis. It seemed dirty at times. Several bathrooms were not cleaned hourly and I had to go elsewhere to use a decent clean toilet. This gave me the impression of a lazy and uncaring staff and management. I guess you cannot expect more when a ship’s officer lies to you! The ship screams attention, from the worn-out seats to the stained toilets that were not cleaned when needed. All in all, the ship was not in good shape. You could tell that there are areas that need attention. It needs to be refurbished now. This ship was one of the worst ships I have seen in my cruising. I have cruised with Carnival, MSC, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. This cruise, ship, and staff have soured my opinion of Royal Caribbean. If I was to rank these 4 companies, Royal Caribbean would rank last! This cruise was by far the worst of all the cruises I have been on!

Awesome by michellersmiley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was awesome. I was disappointed with my excursion when I arrived in the Bahamas, because I had two elderly aunts who had paid for the Atlantis Tour and was told that they would be able to use their rented scooters to tour Atlantis. Upon arriving for the excursion of Atlantis, Royal Caribbean had not requested a shuttle for them and their scooters. The family could not go on the excursion because of the unavailability of a shuttle which would provide access for my Aunts scooters. That was very disappointing and discouraged our entire family on that day.
