Review summary

The only other area I was disappointed with was the fact I could not purchase or order a Royal Caribbean bathrobe!! Royel Caribbean no longer provided robes in extra-large sizes for jovial old people like me! Their medium robe in the room went around 3/4 of me! Too bad, I think they are losing money on not offering this item for sale.

Embarkation

Was in Suite/Sky Class. Had priority boarding which was a breeze. Walked right on at my designated time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
At mostly at Coastal Kitchen. The service was excellent as usual, no complaints on food selection. My one disappointment - The liquor selection has been reduced. I am a bourbon drinker and the ship no longer carried Woodford or Maker's Mark. Only Buffalo Trace or Jim Beam. Very disappointed for what I paid for the drink package. My last trip on Allure, we were at least given a choice to purchase top shelf liquors at a discounted rate with the liquor plan. Now, no top shelf liquor is even provided.

Onboard Activities

We choose to just hang by the pool. The pool area never felt cramped. No lines waiting for a cocktail either.

Entertainment

We only attended the Piano Man shows in the Schooner bar. He was very good. Too bad they are eliminating the jazz lounge.

Service and Staff

Room Butler/Attendant was excellent, took care of everything I requested ASAP. Bartendars all were friendly and helpful. Our Coastal Kitchen Server was Aces!! No one better!

Ship Quality

Our second time on Allure. She still looked great. Men always working to keep her clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of space for 3 of us. My daughter (an adult) really liked her own room. No more folding couch. The tub is a little tall to step into.

Ship tip

Unless you are extremely fussy or a snob, you will not be disappointed. We do not get off the ship at visiting ports. I was the only one in the swimming pool on those shore days!!

Disembarkation

Once our room area was called, we walked right off the ship. There is a lot to be said for having Suite privileges.
