We’ve been on Allure of the seas several times and would go again. The entertainment choices are excellent, the staff very friendly and the food excellent.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
You were able to pre register so getting on the ship was a breeze. You had a preset time to check in, you gave your name and they said “welcome aboard”.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining room - the food was consistently delicious, served hot, with an interesting menu of choices. The fallback daily choices always included a steak, fish, chicken and meatless entree.
The buffet had a variety of selections, more than I’ve seen on previous cruises. It was surprising that it was “self serve” as we are still dealing with Covid , but the food was cooked well and delicious.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The activities are available (no extra charge) , I used the gym and the jogging/walking path.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The show was Mamma Mia and I can’t rave enough about how great it was. There was also an ice show, a high diving show, comedy club and performances by a ventriloquist and two comedians. This ship excels at keeping you entertained .
Children's Programs
I did not bring children onboard.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We found all the staff to be friendly, competent in their jobs and more than willing to be helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship isn’t new and doesn’t have the “glitz” that some of the newer ships have but it doesn’t look worn or outdated. It’s a BIG ship and it takes a lot of steps to get from one venue to another. There are a lot of elevators throughout.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Being on a lower level (the same as the boardwalk) made it very convenient to get around the ship. The cabin was fine, the balcony a bit small but fine for two people. The closet and draws was ample for two.
Ship tip
If you have difficulty walking I would select a smaller ship.
We were given an estimated time to depart and waited in the dining room until our number was called. Our luggage was waiting for us, very easy to find.
