Review summary

We LOVE cruising and it was great to be back on the open seas!! However, the new protocols were difficult for us… it took away from the freedom of cruising in a perfect setting.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
It took well over an hour to get on the ship. Showing the same paper work 4 times was unnecessary. Once paper work is scanned into the system and verified, everyone should be headed on board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality and selection has taken a plunge through the pandemic. Having owned a restaurant, these things were very obvious to me.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty of things to see and do for everyone in your party!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was good, but not great! Definitely doesn’t compare to the energy on “ Harmony of the Seas.” The cruise director wasn’t very enthusiastic, so it’s a trickle down affect from leadership.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were kind and helpful, our cabin attendant was phenomenal!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was so clean and workers constantly washing public areas of high traffic. I love the extra efforts of hygiene right now!!!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean but the design is flawed. It’s a very small cabin! Barely enough room to walk between the bed and the wall. The closet is not in a convenient place to get in and out of. The TV is sitting over the vanity, facing the sofa, not in front of the bed….. you had to pull the TV out from the wall and turn it towards the bed. Then you had to lay on your left side to watch the TV.

Ship tip

If wearing a mask agitates you, find another ship or Cruise Line! We did not like wearing a mask since the vaccine was required and everyone had been tested!!! We had heard mixed reviews about weather or not they would enforce the mask mandate and they did inside the ship. It was sad walking around on formal night with everyone dressed up and wearing a mask.We talked to other cruisers and it’s not enforced on all cruise lines…..

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was a breeze!! Walked right through customs with the facial recognition

I agree about the food, wasn’t impressed! And the cruise director! Never saw him around except on channel 1!

Wasn't a fan of the Allure food/entertainment before COVID not surprised it hasn't improved. Thanks for sharing

I don’t care for masks either and I am in favor of the vaccine. But the vaccine is 100%, so to cruise and protect ourselves and others, we do what we must.
