Review summary

This was my 2nd cruise and lived up to all expectations. Despite a rocky start with an unclean room, this was a fantastic cruise. It was extended due to Hurricane Dorian and we had 2 extra port stops and 3 extra days for free. The staff, food, entertainment, pool space and whole ship was amazing. I look forward to sailing again on the Allure when she is upgraded!

We had expedited embarkation and pretty much went straight through. From port to on ship was about 5 minutes.

Solarium Bistro Restaurant

Went to Solarium when it converted at night to the Samba Grill (Brazilian restaurant). Got special offer of 50% off (about $17 pp) and it was worth it..best prime rib, brisket and lamb chops on ship.

Loved, loved, loved the breakfasts..my favourite place to have breakfast 😋

Windjammer Cafe

Loved the food and service on Windjammer, could always find a table and plenty of tasty choices. I returned home a few pounds heavier because of Windjammer 😀

We did all shows, pools and pool activities, ice skating and eating! Plenty to do whatever your taste/speed.

Loved the pools and pool area. Was always able to get spot by pool and get in the pool. Enjoyed the pool activities and games and loved the poolside bands. Was a great vibe up on the pool decks.

All the shows were amazing and enjoyed them all, from Aqua show, Ice show, Mama Mia, Blue Planet and all comedians and headliner shows. Great talents and staging.

Great space for ice skating and ice shows and converts to a regular stage for comedian shows and dancing.

Service and Staff

Staff were top notch. Everyone I encountered went out of their way to provide great service. The guest services were extremely helpful, particularly through the extended cruise due to Hurricane Dorian. They were great in sorting out a flight issue

Ship Quality

I had a slight issue with cleanliness of my room but steward and supervisor went out of their way to resolve it. Loved the ship design and use of space.

Could have been cleaner but space was perfect for 2.

Ship tip

Make reservations for shows prior to cruising on cruise planner..saves time and you don’t have to queue for standby seats.

There was leftover poo in toilet, stain and crumbs/hair on the floor and on the sofa. They dealt with it and gave me money off next cruise but few days into cruise, discovered the mattress topper had a reddish stain around edges, which looked like it had been there awhile. I didn’t mention it as I had already complained and just allowed them to fix sheets over it everyday.
