Review summary

It’s a beautiful ship. Food and entertainment were amazing. However, drinks were over priced and we felt that the staff was constantly trying to up sale us. They constantly asked if we wanted to make reservations at the specialty restaurants, buy packages etc. It was beyond annoying. Everything else was perfect. They just need to stop with the obnoxious sales pitches. I won’t go the bigger ships again because of that. Bigger isn’t always better.

I totally agree with the up selling. I bought a pair of sandals and they tried to sell me a diamond ring!

We did not experience any particular up-selling back in September. Certainly nothing out of the norm for other ships or to single it out for a three star rating. We are very much looking forward to the Allure again next month.

...your sailing was four years ago. I wonder if after that long of a period of time in writing a review, you recall everything that was good or bad. I’ve been on all of the Oasis class ships and I’ve never experienced the aggressive upselling that you’ve described. Usually a ‘no thank you’ will suffice. I loved the Allure when I was on it, and I’d have no problem sailing it again, it’s a great ship.
