You can get free COVID test from your local US Postal service directly to your home.

the test you take must be proctored. The free ones are not!! keep checking the cruiselines website, guidelines are changing almost daily!

I can't answer your question, but I will say that RCL just modified the requirement for our upcoming cruise from 2 days to 3 days. By October you possibly won't even need the test. I'm interested in responses to your question about best places to get the test. Is there any problem with getting the test at CVS or Walgreens?

Things are changing pretty often and can be different by then. I would check the website when you're closer.
