Review summary

Having enjoyed our 2 previous cruises with Royal CI, I was looking forward to a great week.....but it never really materialized. I found the cleanliness of the ship lacking, many of the large glass windows around the ship were very dirty, especially in the Windjammer where one would like to enjoy breakfast or lunch while looking out at whatever port we were in....could not do that so well. Our floor - the 6th - had a bad odour in the air which just seemed to linger. The room was smaller than the ones we've had on Carnival - seemed to be poorly laid out. The food in the windjammer was nothing to write home about in a positive way, seemed to lack any imagination and was disappointed with a lack of any kind of grill station where we could order something as simple as a grilled cheese or a rueben. Dinners WERE very good and our waiter Desmond was about the best we've had. Entertainment was very good but that was just 4 nights out of seven. Unless you're all about the islands, would NOT recommend this ship, 4 out of 10
