Review summary

We had been on this ship in the past, and our expectations were met. The ship's size is not an issue with plenty to do. This was the most relaxing vacation because we picked our favorite balcony cabin, 8390 in the rear starboard corner of the ship. We enjoyed the full moon on the balcony three of the four nights, and the weather was terrific. The room steward was adequate, but the wait staff at dinner was hardworking and very earnest in their efforts to secure our satisfaction. All in all, it was a good vacation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We had better. We were not hungry though. They save their higher quality meals for the Celebrity cruises, which we can no longer take due to the dates they now travel to our favorite itineraries.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
TOP NOTCH...from the ice skating to the Drifters to the comedians, to the dance/singing shows, we were thoroughly enthralled.

Service and Staff

only in the dining rooms were we impressed. Our cabin steward was more social with the other staff members than he was working on keeping our room. However, we left him a tip one night with a suggestive note about how to improve, and he did. That should not have been necessary.

Ship Quality

They improved some areas, but they amended the adult wave-pool, swimming area for the worst in our opinion, and that used to be our favorite public area. We did not swim at all as a result.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Again, the room is adequate, but after traveling on the Tahitian Princess and sitting on the sofa ACROSS from the bed, we have been spoiled. Even the balcony cabin we were in was cramped. However, the balcony more than makes up for it, since we had an oversized one in the corner aft. In fact, we had two chaisse lounge chairs, two regular chairs, and a small table, without any crowding.

Pros: the islands we visited...St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, St. John, Antigua, and Barbados. Great itinerary

Cons: The fact that the cruise had no clue of our wedding anniversary, though we emphasized this with our BJ's consultant. He even told us that he would personally take care of our request. RCI's staff immediately made amends and celebrated it the following night with dancing and singing by the wait sta
