Carnival Splendor
Sail date: June 10, 2017
I've cruised with carnival multiple time and this was the worst one I've ever been on. My dad had a heart attack and so they made my parents get off the ship onto the island and left them at the hospital and then when they tried to fly to the next island to get back on the ship, the ship wouldn't contact the doctor back, they waited all day on a response and so they weren't able to get back on. They tried to kick my boyfriend and I off with my parents since we weren't 21 so we had to have someone sign as our uncle to stay on. They then moved us rooms to put us closer to them and they wouldn't let us stay in our original room, and the room they moved us into was a handicap room, is smelled like pee, there was mold in the back room, the toilet kept over flowing over night and during the day, the ac/heat in our room didn't work so we woke up sweating, there were little piece of paper in between the Celine and the wall to try and stop it from making noise and we have pictures of this all to prove it. This was on carnival splendor. They were trying to constantly reprint things around the ship and someone said they couldn't use their balcony because is was getting fixed and repainted and everything like 3 or 4 of the days. The tiles from the side of the pool were falling off and all over the ground. The golf course ate the balls on like hole 2 so there was like never any balls. The only good thing about the ship was the casino and our waiters Maria and Marsel, they did a fantastic job. Once my parents got off the ship I couldn't even buy anything on board because they didn't take cash and if I put it on my card they said it would go towards paying for the medical bill, so luckily some cruisers were kind enough to pay for my stuff and let me give them cash. Anyways I would not recommend the ship carnival splendor to anybody, and would definitely recommend getting carnival or travel insurance if you go because if something happens they will be in a hurry to get you off the ship but not even try to get you back on and you will have enormous bills.
Bring dog treats for the feral dogs on the beach :) they are friendly.
