We have cruised Mexico 4 times, 2 on Princess 1 on Royal Carribian and now NCL. I did not think the service was nearly as good on NCL as it was on the other two. The staff was not as friendly and the enertainment was not even close. Our room steward was below par but yet they add a 27.00 a day tip ( not worthy of the service we recieved )
We had a problem in the casino and the casino help was THE WORST! The customer service was just awful.
On the positive side, the food was really really good, except for the coffee, we could not find a good cup on the boat. We purchased the drink package and that was great for us.
Overall we had a good time but i do not think we will sail with NCL again.

This is the 5 th Mexican cruise for us, You will NOT go hungry. Some places to eat are better than others, by far! For some reason on this cruise the employees did not seem as happy as they do on other cruise lines. The ship is older and the entertainment is not as good as other lines i have been on. Bingo prizes are much smaller than other cruises. I believe they use Bingo to make up a lot of profit for them. The pool was closed 2 times due to "accidents", and that was unfortunate. But for the price i would do it again noting what i said above.
Do your shoping right at the peir, best prices of all the ports!
Norwegian Jewel
Do not buy the internet package it is very expensive and VERY slow! Do buy the dining package the french restraunt is amazing! Cagneys and La Cucina also very worth the money! Make reservations for those restraunts before you go, or you will be eating at 9:00.
best shopping close to the boat.

bring a case of water, you can send it on like your luggage. Do eat at the French and Itailain restraunts. It is a up charge but so so worth it. Bring a wine opener and you can open adjoining balcony door. And bring your own coffee pot, the coffee was just terrible on this ship
