Carnival Sensation
Sail date: May 27, 2017
Favorite part: Half Moon Cay because it was a private island
If I had 1 complaint, the food was just average: I'm a pretty picky eater and the food just fell short. We tried the dining room twice and then went to the buffet. We settled on pizza pirate for most of the time.
Service was excellent. Tons of staff and they just really impressed us.
we went on the conch/stingray/snorkeling excursion. More expensive but we got to do everything in 1 place. It was awesome!
definitely have a plan for where to go. The staff really didn't give us good direction for beaches, etc. It was almost like the locals resented Atlantis for taking their business away from them. We went to cabbage beach. A short taxi ride to a public beach. Be prepared to haggle for chairs & umbrellas. We paid $50, while the people next to us paid $30
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
we were early birds and got off the ship early to get our spot. FYI, as the ship unloads, it gets busy so be prepared to hike down the beach if you want privacy
Carnival Sensation
candy place was a nice surprise. Try to pack sunscreen and swimsuits on your transition from the airport to the ship. We didn't have access to our luggage until several hours after we boarded and we didn't have sunscreen. I was in pants and it was HOT and we got fried!
