Norwegian Jewel
Buffet was always crowded. Difficulty in finding seats. We had to have someone in our party look for a table and sit there so the others go get their food. It seemed so disorganized. Overall, it appeared that the waiters were not trained well.
Did not like freestyle cruising. We did not like having to wait for dinner in line each night. The waiters did not seem to know what they were doing. Did not have the choice of substituting a vegetable. The food was of poor quality. They seemed to be pushing the specialty restaurants. We have been on twenty cruises with different cruise lines and at least on one of the nights we were served lobster tail and filet mignon. On this ship prime rib and shrimp were served the last night. We were told that if we wanted seafood, we would have to go to the buffet the night that it was offered. Also, the waiters would come around with different types of condiments on the other ships. With this ship you had to ask for everything or it came already on it, such as a baked potato with a little dab of sour cream and that's all you got. The cabin was adequate and the entertainment was excellent. The cruise terminal was like we use to experience years ago, long lines, and for future reference the cruise line does not accept AARP.
