Carnival Cruise--check your statement! by Legalbs

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

While the cruise was fun, the food was not fantastic and the ship itself was very crowded.  The beverages were great, though.  We stopped in Ensanada, which also was not a fabulous location.  Perhaps most upsetting was getting back home, and finding I was overcharged $2,000 on my credit card for things I did not buy.  Check your statement when you get back!  I've been having a very hard time reconciling my bill--on hold for over 30 minutes.

Had an awesome experience! by alma967

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We had an awesome time.  The entertainment on board was excellent.  Adam entertains with passion.  It shows he loves what he does.  The comedy show however had a repeat and that was not good.  They should have different show everytime.

HAD A GREAT TIME by labsusan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Loved the crew handling our cabins.  Very attentive and accomodating.  They thought of everything and we had such nice treats in the room each evening.

Guys Burger apparently take customers according to age.  I stood in line and was immediately pre-empted by a woman coming from the exit of the line.  This was the only time that youth/looks took precident with the crew over courtesy and respectfulness.

Oh my God, Dee.  She was amazing.  I would follow this Cruise Director on anything she had afloat on the seven seas....You will totally love her!

The entertainment staff kept us hopping and carried our event on the ship.  Their energy and enthusiasm was endless.  And great talent!

1st Carnival cruise experience!!! by amandaperaza

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

This was my first cruise experience and i couldn't have asked for a better time.  They have so many fun activities for you to do on the boat.  The comedy was hilarious both PG and rated R shows.  I also enjoyed the first night with Dee and the gang welcoming us onto the ship, since it was my first cruise it was nice to have some guidance.  I took Dee's advice about volunteering for activities and getting involved to heart and this is what really made the trip.  We got to be involved in the Hasbro game show, i would recommend this!  Overall great time i cant wait for my next carnival cruise.

Nice getaway! by marsean91

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

Overal it was a nice getaway. The ship was okay the service in most part was good in the bars etc.   show and entertainment was great.  Buffet was good, however the dinning room was eehhhh!  Food was not good and sevice was lacking.   Could not tell you a single wait staffs name as they were not interested.  They sat you, took your order gave you your food and where gone!   I can tell you all the wait staff from a Royal Carribien cruise we took two years ago.  Food on this carnival ship was bland in inspired and lacked.  Only ate there two of the three nights and everything was bad. Even the deserts lacked efforts. How do you screw up Apple Pie?

BAJA CRUISE by dgerondale

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

I would increase time at each port of call.  Based upon cruise we could have spent a few more hours there.  Food lines on deck were far two long.  Serving crew at dinner was great

Great cruise. Staff was friendly and fun. Kids had a great time on the water slides and in the pool. The burger bar and taco bar was amazing! The on board activities; trivia, etc. was a lot of fun! DJ Figi was great!

Fun cruise despite the fog by lizandcurt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

This was our family's first cruise and it we had wonderful time. The first 24 hours the ship was in a deep fog and that kept us indoors more than we wanted. But our cabin was nice and well kept.

We thought the kids would love the clubs that the cruise had for their ages (13 and 11) but the clubs did not allow them the freedom to play what they wanted (video games for the 13 year old and non-large group games for the 11 year old). So they spent a lot of time in the cabin or at the pool.

We learned a lot about what we like and do not like. The top likes of the cruise was the food, the pool, and the comedian Mark Sweeny.

The burgers by the pool were awesome - seriously one of the best ever - cheese burgers and fries we ever had. The buffet was our next favorite, we could always find something everyone liked at the buffet.

Our 11 year old loved the pool, but we wished it was on the deck with the water slides and not shared with a bunch of drunk 20 year olds. Plus the dance deck at the pool had several adult contests during the day that involved "adult" activities like lap dances that we wish our kids didn't have to witness at lunch time.

The comedian Mark Sweeny did several PG shows, which was awesome. He even covered a comedian who missed the ship due to getting snowed in at an airport, and Sweeny kept his routine funny, clean, and fresh.

We did venture out to Catalina Island and rent a golf cart and drove around and got lost. The people on the Island were very friendly and nice. And wish we had more time to explore the island. We were pleased to find lot to do without having to pay a lot of extra money.

Our adventure at Ensenada, Mexico,  was very different than the island. We will not go to Mexico again without being part of a tour group. Within minutes of debarking the ship we were surrounded by street venders that made it impossible to enjoy anything. We even went to the kids science museum next to the dock, but quickly left after seeing it had little to offer.

Overall the experience was good. All the ship's crew was friendly, outgoing, and very nice and helpful. Next time we will look into cruises that offer more kid activities- or maybe leave the kids at home.

As expected by jillfelice

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Mexico

The cabin was nice as was the service.  The only thing I was disappointed in was how much things have changed since my last NCL cruise.  They charge you for so many small things now, like a bandaid.  And room service.  And meals aren't open as long. It didn't feel like the "all inclusive" vibe I'm used to from previous cruises.

Spring cruise by SusanaMarie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Mexico

My favorite part of the cruise was being able to relax and unwind.  The food was very good, the drink package and dinner packages were excellent and a very good value, and the ship was beautiful.   The entertainment was spectacular

and the cabin very comfortable.

Carnival, Your Circus Circus at Sea! by Jens1301

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

I have been on three cruises to Mexico and one to Alaska. This cruise left much to be desired. The ambiance was reminiscent of the run down, dingy hotel in Las Vegas. However, unlike Circus Circus, the staff was unfriendly or just plain indifferent. The best thing about this trip was my companion! It's nice to know that we can withstand bad service and unpleasant conditions and still be in love!! We will choose another Cruise line next time but thanks for putting our compatibility to the test.

Good last cruise for those looking for a cheap getaway by brianwaid

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

This cruise didn't go more than 80 miles from Port but was a great spring break getaway. The ship was in great condition and the food was delicious. The entertainment was excellent and this cruise was up to par with other carnival cruises I have been on. Would definitely recommend for those looking to relax rather than see everything they can.

Awesome vacation on Carnival Miracle by ltcarcione

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We went on Carnival Miracle for Spring Break with another family and had a great time.  The ship was clean, had a ton of stuff to keep you busy, but the best part of all was meeting all the great people on the ship. What a bunch of great hearted people.  The crew did a great job taking care of us and we really enjoyed our trip.  Only thing I would say that we were a little disappointed about was the formal dining room experience.  While it was fun and the food was good - it was not quite as great as our last experience on Carnival Splendor.  All in all I highly recommend for a family trip - amazing experinece!

our 40th by Oursuperhappy40

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

Happy We would recommend this cruise.  We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary!! The itinerary was fun although we ran into fog, wind and cold weather going down and again back up.  It was beautiful in Mexico though!!  Our first night in the dining room, we were seated with various people.  There happened to be two singles, both from Canada.  We quickly became friends with them and we went on excursions together!! What fun we had!  We have become friends even after the cruise via e-mail and facebook and have promised that we will see each other again sometime!!!!  The only thing is, the Miracle could use a little refurbishing.  She was looking a little tired Wink

Great Cruise- Repeat itinerary of our wedding 10 years previous by kmaio

Loved the ship and the on-board service. Shows/entertainment was the only area that they could have improved on.  Princess runs a clean, well maintained, and efficient product that we come back to again and again.

Nice 7 day cruise by ezstreet655

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Mexico

The food, entertainment, services, and most everything was superior.  However,

the "anytime dining" was almost a joke.  Waiting in long lines to dine is not what

is expected on cruises.  This keeps it from being a five star experience.  And

leaving Cabo after only a half day is ridiculous.  They must figure a way to return

to LA the final day in order to have a full day in Cabo - the best cruise port.  Also,

having a formal night on a "at port" day is too much to handle.

The cruise was wonderful. Great entertainment, tasty food, helpful staff, and very clean rooms. The staff in the kids camp took great care of my children.

LoveUnfortunately I did not enjoy Baja Mexico. We were hounded bythe locals.
