The activities on board were very limited, and the shows interfered with dinner. We went to late dinner and we missed a lot of the shows. Organization for disembarkement was very slow and we lost most of the day.

Mexican riveiera Carnival Miracle cruise by adriandan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

This was our second cruise, first was with Carnival also. Once again we were impressed about the quality of the food served on the Bacchus restaurant, service provided by our table server(table 218), our server Tomi was very friendly.

We had an interior room, 7114, big enough for 2 persons, Rony, our steward took care of our room very good. The embarkation and disembarkation were very well organized and short. The style/décor of the ship was "different" for our taste, but ok. The evening shows were ok, not as good than on the other Carnival Triumph ship. Anyway we appreciated the Director effort to have nice entertainment on the ship. The Disco/Dance shows on Deck 10 were very nice.

We book 3 excursion, 2 of them through website. Mazatlan was by far the best excursion. The excursion in Puerto Vallarta was very bad. The guide, Miguel, took the group for shopping on 3 different stores were we spent half of the time, 2 hours, for shopping. on other important sites like the church, downtown plaza or the beach, we had just 10 or 15 minutes. More than half of the group were furious about this. We were disappointed that we couldn't spent more on the beach.

Anyway, we had a great experience on this ship.Happy

Nice Weekend Getaway by houtx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

After being on Carnival's newest and largest ships it is probably not fair to compare them, but it was a let down.  The crew members were very nice and friendly, altho service in the main dining room was very slow and the food was only fair. Guy Fiero Hamburgers were great as was Blue Iguana cantina. The self serve ice cream machine was broken the first day. Night shows were very good. No outside movies as on larger ships. The locker room has electronic locks on the storage bins which were extremely frustrating to use. They should go back to a key system. Downtown Ensenada is  clean and the 7 blocks of shopping safe. La Bufadora (Blowhole) excursion was interesting but go in the morning before the crowds.

Memorable Cruise by rhoebink

The ship was fantastic, and Carnival is truly a party ship we were never bored and never felt hungry.  The food served at all locations on board was excellent.  Ensenada was a fun town with many things to do.

Wait In Line for One Hour to Eat Dinner by oneijack48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

I was "assigned" open seating for dinner.  What this means is you can eat dinner anytime you want with no reserved seating.  First you wait in line to get a beeper which will go off when a table is available.  Twice in four meals I had to wait 1 hour in the hallway waiting in the hallway for your beeper will go off and you can be seated for dinner.  Great way to spend an hour each day of your cruise.  I had asked for reserved seating for dinner when I booked the cruise but Carnival decided that I would suffer through this instead.  I spent over $1500 for the three of us in one room and do not feel I got my moneys worth.

My cruise experience by smparsons911

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

this cruise was my very first and I was not disappointed at all. The cruise staff was amazing, from the house keeping services to the cruise director Alex, everyone was respectful and polite. The 2 shows we went to, Divas and Epic Rock, were amazing. The performers were always nice and when you saw them outside the show they were the most polite and friendly people you could meat. The cruise director Alex was always willing to answer your questions even when he had a very busy schedule. All in all, this cruise was amazing and I look forward to my next one.

Better 2 years ago by jcappello1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We had a ocean suite (6185) on level 6, like last time, but this one made squeaking and crackling noises...constantly.  Food was a little less presentable than last trip, but edible.  Came across several great staff members, but our room steward was in another world in keeping supplies in our room.  Comedy shows were pretty good.  Pool water is always ridiculously cold, I know it's ocean water, but warm it up.  The ship was supposedly refurbished in 2015 (after our April cruise), but I saw no evidence of anything different on the ship. Overall, decent cruise, but better in 2015.

Awesome experience, very worth the money! by rudycruz0829

Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

This cruise was overall incredibly fun. The food was good, hardly any wait time. The ship entertainment was great and the room service was amazing. Our Housekeeper Rupa was by far the best we've had. She would create animals out of our bath towels. I purchased an anniversary cake and without asking her, she provided us with plates, forks and napkins. I also had a bottle of wine on ice, She constantly replenished the bucket of ice without me having to ask her! great service!

Great and fun trip by cfchen3244

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

Frankly I didn't have many expectations prior boarding although I do love cruise vacations. However, the check-in experiences were great (around 12pm) and fast. The ship is great and "Your entertainment director A....LEX" made it even fun! I definitely will come back again!

excellent service by tala123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

service on the ship was excellent. it was great to see everyone smile and know your name from day one. few down sides - swimming pools were cold, buffet food could have more fresh veggies and fruits, but those are minor. overall great experience for someone who doesn't mind crowded, loud, drinking and partying environment.

Had a great little spring break by JBMN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

First, realize that you are going on a smaller, older ship and as a result you shouldn't expect all the amenities of others in the fleet.  This was our first Carnival cruise, but we have cruised quite a few times.  The stateroom attendant was great.  Kept the room tidy, brought us ice, even gave me a couple of coupons for my birthday.  The food was good, not the best I've had but very reasonable.  Our waitstaff was great, we had fixed dining.  Entertainment was good for being a smaller ship.  The cast had talent and was entertaining.  Our grandkids enjoyed it.  The comedians were good too.

Very relaxing week by nealb1051

The evening entertainment was great, as always. The service is fantastic.

Main dining cutbacks is my only critique. (No lobster night). Embarcation was very slow.

Beautiful ship worthy of Jewel Name BUT by mauime123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Mexico

My first NCL in over 20 years. The interior design of common areas was beautiful.  Awe inspiring art everywhere you looked, in the construction design, murals, glass, and furnishings BUT whomever planned the only pool deck area is way, way off base.  Noisey is the only word in the afternoons for that area.  Bands played excessively loud in the center area from 1-4 every day even port days!  If they had  placed the band at one end or the other or on the open floor above, it could have been enjoyable. And one pool bar-b-que or two is plenty but every day?  Huge  barby cookers, 3, lit up near bar giving off smoke every afternoon also?

Dinner hostesses could be a little offensive, not helpful when some of our party arrived minutes later to find their table!  Overworked probably.

Entertainment was good but disappointed there was no magician act! Can't have everything.

We all commended on hard beds and very flat soft pillows.  They need to improve there.

A nice little cruise. by drpritchard2003

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Mexico

We chose this cruise for two reasons: It left from our home port of San Pedro Ca. and it was a Haven cruise with Norwegian Cruise lines. The Haven is very nice. This ships Haven does not have the Haven restaurant Or lounge with the bar.  It is still a great setting for cruising. We have done this Itinerary many times so there is little that is new. Cabo and Puerto Vallarta are wonderful stops. Mazatlan is nice but the shopping and sights are far from where the ship docks.

was good Itinerary by SASpooner2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

was a nice cruise..cabo was great the luxury day sail was terrific! Carnival has made a few changes that my husband and I were not pleased with. They recently changed the policy for non alcoholic beverages where you cannot without exception bring beverages in plastic bottles. All of our beverages were confiscated.only bring cans...this is another way carnival makes money

They also asked when we wanted are room cleaned and how often which was odd. We had to ask for bathrobes. They were not provided. I am u certain if this is only happening at long beach port as we have never experienced this before. There were other small things that happened. We are really rethinking about continuing to travel with Carnival.

Carnival Inspiration by carcenas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

The evening show was good. Food at the "your time dining" was good so as the service.Food at the Lido buffet was not really that good and not much variety. Pizza was and fries were disgusting. Not much entertainment for the baby boomers. The band at the hallway was good but it could have been nice if it was in a club instead of just the hallway in front of the bar.

Ensenada Cruise on Imagination by Cruiser55316623

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

The overall experience was a good one.  Dining room experience was enjoyable. The scallops with risotto was my favorite appetizer, and the main courses I had were all yummy.  My favorite dessert was the Chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream.  I loved the 24/7 soft serve ice cream.  I had fun with friends.  However, I would make the following recommendations.  Signage on the "Serenity" deck for either  "no music" or piping in spa music, due to young adults (20's) "rocking out", when this area was supposed to be for quiet "serenity".
