Cabo & Puerto Vallarta Cruise by jimandkim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

Both stops were fine, strange that we went back out to sea at night in Cabo's first day, back by the morning. Food was average for Carnival. Service and staff were great. Entertainment is getting less and less, focus is on shopping an d gambling on board.

I enjoyed everything about the cruise. The food was great and the service was excellent. Our servers for dinner Rudolph, Priyo, and Adrieanne were awesome. Our steward Nyoman was awesome. I would recommend this cruise for everyone. A must do.

Sleep like a Baby by SquadCruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

I loved this cruise.  It was so relaxing and fun!  When we  were on the ship I slept so much and so well.  I couldn't believe it.  The ports were incredible!  I loved how different the two ports were.  It was fun to see different parts of Mexico.  I also loved not having to worry about food are hotels, you have everything all in one with the Carnival cruise.

One big party !!!! by tikavb87

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

This was my first cruise it was great (minus the sea sickness) . I loved how friendly everyone was from the guest to the staff. It was a small boat as far as cruises go but there was still plenty to do. Only thing that could have been better is if we would have had a stop the day we just set ideal in the ocean the sitting is what made me sea sick. My other wish would be less fried food the freshly made food were delicious there just wasn't a lot of it. But all in all my trip was great

Loved my time away on this cruise but it was too short!  I can't wait to go again but on a longer cruise.  The comedy shows and evening entertainment are exceptional!Love

Not good! by jgoodson74

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

There were a few great people that deserve praise: Gener and Hector. They were great.

Our group was supposed to have 6:00 pm dining but we were stuck with anytime dining. The water slide was shut down for maintenance or repairs. The food was very bland in taste at the buffet and restaurant... Guy's burgers was great. All of the hot tubs were overloaded with people that would just sit there for hours, some would just sit there with the tall beers with only their feet in the water. I wasn't allowed to sit while the safety orientation was happening and it agrevated my back injury so I had to lay down the rest of the day... my first day! The drinks seemed watered down. Services were nice. Ian at the customer services station really helped us with a charge issue we had. This was my first cruise and I can say for a fact that I will never cruise with Carnival again. Overall, it was a dreadful disappointment.

Cutting Amenities by chazmondo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

The food and service was good, but Carnival is obviously trying to make a few extra bucks by cutting amenities that one would normally expect on a cruise ship. For examples, gone is a hair dryer in your cabin (unless you special request), gone are the robes in your cabin, gone is any kind of large scale theatrical production in the main theatre, and gone are the daily drink "specials."  The ship had Direct TV feed, but the only cable news we could get was CNN on three channels (one in Spanish). CNN is no longer providing "objective" news and has lost its credibility. Carnival should consider changing is itinerary to eliminate Ensenada as a destination...it's no longer a quaint fishing village, it's become a cesspool of vendors pushing trinkets and over priced drinks. They should replace it as a destination with San Diego, where you don't have to worry so much about getting mugged if you wander away from the tourist traps. This was the last Carnival cruise for us.

Cruise by perezandreajo60

Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

It was an amazing experience. Everyone was wonderful and our room was amazing with an ocean view window. Our shore excursions were  alot of fun. Especially the bow hole in Ensenda our tour guide was great. I would  love to book another cruise with Carnival. We had a lot of fun and the people on the cruise were nice and friendly. The food was great. Had a great time.

Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

I was a good cruise . Only one thing missing is a quiet area .I had a good experience on a previous Carnival cruise to the Bahamas. The Serenity adult only was quiet , peaceful,. This time was not the same . A lot people  probably drank

and very loud. This is my preferred location on the ship...

First time cruiser by andomo76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

I loved the ship, so many things to do from exercise equipment to the casino and nightclubs. I wish that there was food available after 930. The buffets are open.in the morning and for lunch and dinner, but if you get hungry after that you are out of luck. Beautiful scenery and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely take this cruise again. There are kids in the pool almost all times just about. Wish there was one just for adults.

So So Cruise by larryblanche

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

As with any other cruise our favorite part is always the relaxation, being away from reality, the peace of mind, no cell phones, and no planning of where to eat and what to do.

My husband and I have been on many different cruise lines and find Carnival to be our least favorite food wise.  The food is mediocre, nothing to rave about whether at the main dinning room or the buffet.  We pretty much lived on their hamburgers which were rather good and with a large array of condiments.

Reason we continue to still consider Carnival is because it a nice, cheap get away and the port is conveniently located close to San Diego.  If we had high expectation from a cruise, it would certainly not be the Carnival, but for our minimal needs, Carnival is fine.

If you're a first time cruiser Carnival would probably be an okay choice since you won't have any other cruise ships to compare it too.  We fine with their three and four night cruises but would be our max.

Mexican Riviera by jminx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

It was a consistent Carnival Cruise. Average food, good entertainment, and expensive drinks.  The ports were nice, and safe. Cabo was beautiful, Mazatlan a busy city, and Puerto Vallarta was ok. Too many days at sea.

It was just OK by MikeJoseph

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

The food at the steakhouse was the best meal.  The excursions were iffy as for as what I saw as safety.  To ship it self was OK. It was clean but looked well used.  The part I hated was at times it was hard to get away from the cigaret smoke. The last three days I was a basket case because of my asthma.  People smoking in the bathrooms, by the pools, going to and from the Lido Deck and last but not least using the balcony (our upgrade) getting the second hand smoke from other balconies.  My family did not go a shore in Puerto Vallarta because of me.

Our room was taken care of nicely and Emmanuel did a great job keeping us comfortable and even remembered all of our names which made us feel at home.

Mexico did not thill use and we can cross it off our bucket list.

Service by housekeeping and the staff at the Bacchus was unbelievable! Staff All Around were so helpful always ready to give you a smile! Room service was excellent the food in the Bacchus we really enjoyed. I preferred to do the Bacchus instead of the buffet. That's just our preference. The entertainment was so enjoyable the activities were amazing there was always something to do. We were treated like royalty!! Best vacation ever!!!! Faster to the fun was the best purchase!

All of us had a wonderful time. by purpledreamsw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

The customer service on the ship was excellent, we felt well taken care of. The dining room experience was always so fancy and delicious. All the activities: shows, comedy, trivia were so much fun. The only thing I'd change is the quality of drinks (the lemonade, orange juice and apple juice seemed fake, like made of corn syrup) and I'd like to see more veggies in the salad bar. Such as spinach broccoli, almonds, more dressing choices. Basically healthier options.

Husband's first cruise by pasnell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

The service in the main dinning room was great.  We had Lady and Kirk serve us and they were wonderful.

As for as the entertainment it really wasn't exciting as they didn't have a very good variety.  In the evening it was about the same type of entertainment, and comedy.

My husband and the other man in our party weren't impressed.  The ladies could also do without and find something else to do.

Not much variety to do during the days.

Disappointed in Carnival Miracle by lkmiller

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

9th cruise on various cruise lines. 2nd cruise with carnival.

Very disappointed with this trip. Buffet food was not very good always seemed like a bunch of leftovers put together, not at the temperature that it should be, just very plain and boring. You can definitely tell that they have cutback. The Baccus dining room was ok but not like it use to be nor like it should be. Very surprised when they brought a bill for my husbands steak. All other cruises that we have ever gone on only charge in the specialty restaurants. We had a balcony room, it was nice but never once saw our room steward. Public restrooms were awful. Staff was very friendly except for the lady officer who pounded on our door at 1:00 am to tell us that the balcony light being on was disturbing our neighbor. May I recommend a little sign on the wall that says turn the light off or we will be pounding on your door. Entertainment was also nothing like it should be. What happened to the beautiful shows and costumes? Replaced by comedians that were just so so. The stops we made were very nice we rented vans and had them take us around. This was our 3rd Mexican trip and Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta are always entertaining. Needless to say this will definitely be our last trip on Carnival.

Would be 5 stars if Carnival stopped the up sales by annmariegilbert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Overall the cruise was amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and personable my only complaint was how pushy they were on up sales. I am on vacation I don't want to have to be on guard for having to constantly tell the staff no.
