Average Cruise by vbabcock

This is Good Cruise for a short getaway. The Anytime Dining was not a good experience for us, the food was cold half the time when the waiter brought it out. You wait about 15-20 minutes to be seated.

Really poor service by wendykm222

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

This was the worst vacation I have taken in a long time. After all of the planning and getting the CHEERS! package, we were very disappointed. Most of the servers acted like they did not want to be there. The food was overcooked and tasteless. The activities were not very interesting, and the $5k BINGO was not explained at all, turned out to be a $550.00 payment. When we complained to Guest Services that the CHEERS package was completely not what was promised, they did nothing for three days. The only thing good about this trip was when we were off of the ship. Sorry but I will never take a Carnival Cruise again.

It was a very good vacation by bcor007

It was very relaxing when we were away from kids. We spent most of our time in the Serenity deck.  The crew was excellent as always.  However, kids running down the hallway outside our cabin was very annoying  We asked them to stop running.

Ship and crew need updating! by mikeib1966

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

Crusie staff excluding our cabin service was very apathetic.

Ship is out dated, dinner service is mediocre..20$ extra for lobster tail the size of a prawn.

I will not book another cruise on carnival until they update they're ships and learn how to invigorate their staff.

Relaxing Cruise to/from Mexican Riviera Carnival Miracle by blackwd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We enjoy the sea days more than the ports, so our impressions reflect this preference. We have traveled on this same itinerary or a variation of it over 30 times. West coast cruising fits our needs anytime of year since we live in Utah. We have tried cruises out of Florida to the Caribbean but enjoy the Pacific most of all.

This was a typical cruise down the Baja, where the first and last days were too cool to spend much time on the balcony. We have been spoiled on previous cruises with warm weather the entire trip. The older ship Miracle does not offer all the options we enjoy on the Splendor (returning to west coast next year) or on most of the Princess ships. Otherwise the weather was great and the ocean was smooth as glass especially on the return to Long Beach.

With Princess putting all their ships on Alaska itineraries Carnival is the only option for us in the summer. Otherwise we would stick with Princess.

The staff on the Miracle were friendly and provided great service. Especially impressed with our cabin attendant "Made". Quite a few activities but we preferred our balcony or a quiet spot on the deck to read and enjoy the views. Tried Serenity but the cushions they use were disgusting (although better than last year) with stains on them and in need of a serious cleaning. This is where Sanctuary on Princess is far and above superior although it comes with a cost it is well worth it.

The food was good and service adequate in the MDR, we only utilized dining options on Lido a couple times. The sea day brunch is great kudos to Carnival on this offering. Enjoyed the Steak House great meal with a huge Cheese Cake dessert that was impressive. Even with over 6 hours of exercise in the gym or walking deck 10 I still gained 5 lbs which I attribute to Carnivals Chocalate Melting Cake. Embarkation and debarkation with our Platinum status is a breeze and we feel better than Princess. Entertainment was ok nothing like Carlos Oscar or Steve Morris on Princess.

So much fun! by itskarlam18

This cruise was excellent! The staff was amazing so friendly and kind! I just wish the stays in Cabo were as long as the one stay in puerto Vallarta. They felt short and early! The comedy adult shows were hilarious

We had a wonderful time on the Miracle!! The food was wonderful and all the crew members were awesome. We loved the shows. We thoroughly enjoyed all the festivities that the cruise ship had to offer. When Puerto vallarta we went on the rhythm of the night excursion and it was wonderful. I would definitely recommend the cruise.

Cannot recommend. by adrianloera

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Couldn't sleep because I could feel and hear other guest slamming their doors and walking around. Staff was rude at times, boat entertainment was outdated, spent most of the time sick because the boat was so rocky, and I usually never get sick on cruises.

first cruise by mcreynoldskarin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.  My husband uses a scooter , everyone was very attentive to him.  Our Waiter Edward was great. He always made us laugh and was there for our every need.  We had dinner one night at Nick and Nora's steak house both of our Stewarts were very attentive. I think one was Katrina and the other began with an E, bad memory for names.  We would run into the girl who's name began with an E and she was very friendly stopped and talked to us asked us how our cruise was going. We had a great time. Most definably go again.  In fact my son-in-law is already looking into the Caribbean.

Thanks again for a great time.Happy

Excellent cruise! by ctoddb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

My family and I had a wonderful time on our 7-day cruise, and would totally recommend it to anyone who is considering going! The staff was amazing, always courteous and helpful. We would especially like to thank our Steward, Eva, and all of our food servers, particularly Frank and Svietlana. The servers at our kids' table all were especially helpful and patient, even with our youngest ones! Thank you, Carnival Cruises, for such a wonderful vacation!

everything on the cruise was well worth it. there were lots of activities to participate in for the older children and for the adults. the dining experience was great and if you did not like what they were serving in the dining hall you could always grab some dinner in the buffet which was located on deck 9. the overall experience was fantastic and we are planning on taking a cruise around the same time next year.

ALL the Staff was helpful & extremely nice!! by mrdunnrite

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Our favorite part of the cruise was the helpful Staff. We definitely loved the idea that there was free food available 24hrs. The environment for the outside deck where the large pool is was great! There being bars everywhere kept for very small lines. We would like to suggest that we thought there should have been more Directory's to show what is where and how to get there even tho they were diagrams of the boat at the elevators, they could have been at more locations throughout the boat. Maybe used pictures of the event locations instead of the read outs.

check out on financial side by seaturtle9908

The cruise overall was fabulous...  It was my first time on a cruise...  The only down fall was when it came to making the payment on the invoice you create on the cruise, it was like the cruise was double charging my credit card...  which it really messed up my account...  but after i spoke with my bank and it was all worked out i understood why and how it worked...

Would definitely do this again, but i would love to do a different cruise as well...

Getting It Right by koorbrus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Carnival is certainly on the ball with thes "mini" cruises to Ensenada. The activities are well planned during the cruise. The time certain embarkation and debarkation makes traveling on the cruise a breeze. I will certainly book again.

Our waiter and his team are great!  They accommodated our requests.  They were pleasant, couteous and has sense of humor. Thye were very efficient.  They did their best to make each night a wonderful experience.

We were late for dinner the second night but they were patient enough and we did not feel were hurried to finish our meal.

Our Family Vacation by pbreichert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

We enjoyed our cruise experience. The food was great and we all could find something that we liked. I personally wish there was more of a salad bar. I was looking forward to a heaping multi-item salad bar experience. There was a salad bar but only 5 choices of toppings. We enjoyed a comedian together and that was fun. There was one comedian that we felt very distasteful (rated- PG), We wanted more shows like this, or magic shows etc but all the rest of the comedian shows were rated R-18+ so that was sad we didn't want to go to those. There wasn't much activities on board to do so we slept most of Thursday but the excursions were great.

The food on very good.  The service for the seat down dinner was excellent, waiting was quick.  The room needed to vacuum though it was dusty underneath the bed.

1st time cruising by plaichour

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

Had a blast on the ship!  Catalina was beautiful. I have to say I was disappointed with Encenada.  That city has so much potential to offer but the government could care less.  Doesn't take pride to show off what it can offer to travelers.  This was my first time cruising and I had a GREAT experience on the ship!!
