Our room service- John the butler and Ni the housekeeper were fantastic! They were amazing! However the service in the buffet restaurant was terrible. Took forever to get anything. They were not friendly. We came in a half hour before close one afternoon and we should have left because they were acting like they were already done and didn’t want to be bothered. Also the food was not great this cruise. Usually the food is good but this cruise is was mediocre.

Overall, the cruise was fine. Was disappointed that the evening shows were held at 9:30 pm. After a long day in port, we were usually too tired to make the shows. In fact, we saw only one and it was a good one.

The cruise is wonderful. This part of the world is beautiful, full of history and culture, and a must see.

Enjoy the Art Gallery. We made a few purchases. The food was plentiful. The pools are small. We were too busy to try the ropes course. Got on the water slide once.

Its a huge ship and I loved how many ports were stopped at. All in all a great cruise. Buy the dining package and enjoy the specialty restaurants.

People who didn’t sign up shore excursions with cruise ship were not treated equal. We had to disembark after the people who signed up with them. I think that’s unfair. I paid for the transportation from shore to the town in Helsinki and they wouldn’t give me refund. Their reason was they don’t have a record who used the transportation even though I had a receipt that I took hop on & off bus from the shore. If they told us the info that there is Hop on & off bus at the shore, I wouldn’t have purchased the transportation to town.

It was a great cruise the there was a activity person that wasn't very nice. She thought she was funny but she wasn't. She yelled when she spoke and really didn't listen to what you have to say. For example they sent us out to our bus for the shore excursion before the regular crowd came down because my husband was super tall and we had to see if we could find a seat that he could fit in which we did all the way in the back in the middle. When we went down one of the activity people were call ahead of time and knew we were coming down and even though the person that took the call was trying to get us to the bus, this other activity person (I think her name was Bennie) she kept trying to put us to the side while the other person was trying to get us to the bus. This Bennie was trying to hold us and if the others came down and my husband couldn't fit we would have had to cancel the tour. There were other instances in the boat with the same activity person. So that is the only thing that was bad about the boat was this activity person.

Overall, this was time and money well spent! I truly enjoyed my vacation and all the parts of call visited.

We had a haven spa suite and haven cruising makes a big difference. The food in the haven restaurant is excellent and much better than the other restaurants. I do think they should change Haven menus between the various ships though. This was the same menu we had on the Epic. Lines to get through the port after Berlin and St Petersburg were very long, though maybe not the ship's fault.

My bucket list shore excursion was St Petersburg Russia. It was expensive, but it met all of my expectations and was excellent. We went off ship in all ports using Norwegian excursions and enjoyed every one. The Baltic is rife with old world architecture and incredible scenery. We have traveled to 56 foreign countries and this trip was one of our favorite.

The itinerary ensured that it would be an interesting cruise. The weather was never worse than fair, and was often excellent, which made the port visits all the more enjoyable. The NCL 'freestyle dining works for us, so we ate mainly in the Grand Pacific, where the food was good - once it arrived. We have used NCL three time before, and would certainly be willing to do so again.

The only less than perfect experience was the food and service in the main dining rooms. I miss the relationship and familiarity from the waiter & staff. Not getting the same wait staff means they don't know your special requests and your likes and dislike. The food was good but not exceptional. The service was barely average. We don't use the specialty dining rooms due to the extra charge. I expect the experience in the specialty restaurants is better since they have to justify the charge. The food and staff in the other food restaurants were excellent.

Although we have only been on three cruises....this was one of our most memorable experiences vacationing. We have travelled the world mostly on our own and don't particularly like arranged travel. However, this will go down as one of our best vacations ever...due to the contentious staff of Viking, their attention to detail and the wonderful and fun loving staff.....everyday we couldn't believe it but it just kept getting better!!

Cruise was enjoyable; however, there are no comfortable chairs to sit and read a book. The only comfortable chairs are in the lounges where there was entertainment. Need a few niches where someone can read and enjoy the views.

We had a great time on this cruise! I had watched the weather for weeks before this cruise and was worried about rain every day (because that's what the forecast was showing). We did have rain in Haugesund and Flam (and I am sure this impacted our impressions of those ports), but the rest of the days were decent to stunningly beautiful! We went on this cruise with my parents (who are 79), and we all had a great time. We were surprised by the number of kids of all ages on the cruise and weren't sure how much fun they might be having.

This was our first Viking cruise and we were blown away. The ship was never crowded and the staff simply superb. Can’t wait to do it again.

ship it was fine but lacked of what new cruise have to offer, we took RC because we had loved our previous cruise with them 10 years ago, but times has changed and they forcing you to pay extra for everything $15 a day to connect one device. they force you to go to the pay restaurants by making the food so bad at the dinner room. the only place with worse food was the windjammer buffet where the food was either cold or dried out. they force you to go to their approved gift shops on excursions where prices are at least 3X higher then regular gift shops

We have cruised on Celebrity for more than 10 years. The crew is second to none. This time it seemed way more crowded, with a rushed itinerary, and the cruise director was to over the top. His daily announcements were almost 15 minutes long, the on board entertainment was OK most nights, the best was the live music in the smaller lounges. The main dinning room is FANTASTIC. The cabins and verandas are very nice. Celebrity does have the embarkation and disembarkation down to a science, works very well. While Celebrity’s cruise prices seem to continue to increase, in addition to these increases, In my opinion Celebrity is trying to identify ways to add fees and charges of all types. In port shuttle buses, that used to be included, now there is a charge. Up-charges on drink packages like at the martini bar, 3 bucks more for a larger martini, really why not just get two smaller ones. And everyone of these up-charge slips provide a line for an additional tip. And specialty restaurant are only a fare deal on the first day of the cruise when they are discounted by 30%. In port excursions, in the daily flyer, Celebrity creates the impression the only Hop on Hop off bus is available only at guest relations, all one need do is get off the ship and you can find the same hop on hop off bus at a lower price than Celebrity. So after 10 years of loyalty, i think for our next cruise vacation, we may need to shop around.
