Construction made getting to port difficult. Traffic at drop off was worse than we expected. Rude port agents.

Loved being able to see the tear drop memorial and the statue of liberty

We drove to the port a day before the sailing and stayed on the NJ side. We booked our own tour of Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. It was a good choice. We were a 15 min . drive to the port. My cruisemates had an additional day to tour NYC themselves and loved it. They took an Uber to go there and back.

Area outside the terminal is old and poorly maintained. Availability of taxis and shuttle buses was dismal. Very crowded and disorganized with poor signage for those looking to get to the airport.
