We missed this port due to airline issues but checked it out at the end. Visited the cemetery and and shopped. Had a great lunch down near the port.

I’ve been to Maine before and it might be my favorite state in the USA so I could be biased but Portland is absolutely gorgeous. We could have just sat at the port and taken in the ocean views all day! We ended up taking the Narrow Gauge Train ride which was so much fun, then got a Lobster Roll at Hellraisers, and walked around the Eastern Cemetery taking in the history.

Nice port. We took a lighthouse excursion, then walked around downtown Portland afterwards and grabbed some Lobster Grilled Cheese sandwiches. Wow.

The food was amazing. DiMillo’s is a must stop for Sea food. Make reservations when you get off the ship. We went to Duck fat. Pastomi sandwich was good. Excellent ice tea and drinks. Cute town, great shopping.

I fell in love with this city as soon as I got off the ship. I felt at home. The restaurants were crowded because of 2 ships in port, but we found a restaurant without waiting

We booked an independant whale excursion. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance of pier. Gilberts have the best clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl. Only dissappontment was clearing customs. We docked at 9 am and had very very long wait to get off ship. We drew group number 14 as priority was given to those with excursions through Princess. Only 4 agents on board to manually clear 100% of passengers. Princess needs to do better with this process.

Rented a car and drove up and down Hwy 1 from Portland to Newburyport, MA. Beautiful coastal towns! Lunch in Kennebunkport for Lobster roll. Wish the leaves had turned more.
