Consider Orlando. You are only 45-60 min from port. Lots of additional options, dining, amenities, etc. Stay away from 192 in Kissimmee though just kind of cheap and touristy. You can do I-drive but keep close to convention center. Also of course Disney and Universal and general surrounding area. But close to port Canaveral lots of hotels down A1A safe area and just check out photos. One side of road should be beach access :)

When I have to travel for work up there I always stay at the Raddison. Nice pool. Cruise parking with shuttle. And a good restaurant there and a tiki bar!

We really enjoy the Residence Inn by Marriott, Cocoa Beach. It is clean, has nice amenities and is close to port.

Prior to the cruise, we stayed 2 nights at The Inn at Cocoa Beach. Very unique, we liked it very much. Close to the beach... post cruise we stayed at the Hampton Inn, which was just fine...

Have stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport & the Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport. Both were nice hotels. Used Goport shuttle service.

Beachside hotel and suites. We loved it. I also was sailing out of port canaveral so this was perfect!!! I was so hesitant about staying in a non brand hotel but the reviews were good. They allow early check in if available for a fee. It was worth it for me. They said they would call if they had a room come available and they called me within 15 minutes. There’s a lot around the area. Also if possible ask to be in the rooms near the pool. It was so nice to walk out the room and see the pool. Oh and the beach was within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again. My only negative about that experience was the McDonald’s. The coffee was awful and they couldn’t even get it right. 2 coffees ordered and both wrong. Oh and another thing, they have a small bar and restaurant and you can order pool food at the bar. Check this place out and let me know if you had the same great experience I did! No but we stayed in holiday in express we used go port fly and cruise deal !!! They picked us up at airport took us to hotel and cruise then back to airport !!! Hotel was great they served breakfast !! Whole package for two was $200
