Everyone has to be out of their cabin by 8:30. New cruisers will start coming on board by around 10:30. So you can't stay around for very long. Unfortunately you will have to get off the ship. 😭

With Carnival you must vacate the cabin no later than 8/8:30am, and can linger in a public area until just prior to 10am. Be warned though no entertainment or activities will occur that morning and breakfast venues will have shortened hours.

It will all depend on when you get to the port and how the cruise ship you're on does disembarkation. You will typically be assigned a group and time for that group to leave.
