We like the San Diego port because it is close to the airport, good motels and the cruise terminal.

Traffic is a bit congested on departure day at for 11:00 am boarding group, but if you use the assigned boarding time I noticed embarkation at San Diego after 1:30 was not crowded.

Took an Uber XL to the San Diego zoo $15.00 for the 6 of us, $71.00 dollars each for zoo tickets I think it was cheaper to buy them online so check that out, had a great time! We did the bus around the park to check everything g out first and then walked to the areas we wanted to check out closer.

San Diego is lovely. Again, we have been there so many times and seen all the major attractions, we didn't take an excursion. We walked (Hubby rode his scooter) to SeaPort Village, about a mile away. Fun shops and restaurants there. The Embarcadero is so nice, pretty landscaping, interesting sculptures, and lots of vendors along the way.
