We went out of Galveston, TX the previous trips. I was concerned to leave my car in New Orleans.

There was not a lot to see at the port, but it was very interesting cruising down the Mississippi River.

The port itself was great but the city of New Orleans was filthy and unimpressive.

Okay, to be fair, this is the starting and ending port for my cruise. Its New Orleans and going around and visiting the historic areas is what it is all about. Some of the old graveyards are really nice to walk around.

Standard cruise departure port. The traffic is rough, but shuttles, taxis, Uber, and Lyft are readily available.
