UNESCO Walking tour. So much history and art. Best to experience on foot.

Just a short visit for an overview of the city.

there is nothing to taste in the 'Taste of Penang' excursion. you get ti sip something. then they take you to a place where you may eat but do not take cards but local currency. you end up going hungry

Just did our our thing, jumped on the free bus and had a wander around

Right next to town & a 15-min walk to Love Lane. Access to local food was essential.

Yes we did an excursion and it was okay but the bus driver was smoking on our bus which was horrible. The bus also had roaches. Very nasty bus.

We were not here long. Decided to simply walk around for the afternoon as ship docks in George Town. Be prepared for a barrage of local people trying to sell you tours while they were numerous and loud they were non threatening and we passed through easily enough. We managed to see some of George Towns famous sites more by stumbling across them than planned vists. We paid to go into the Peranakan museum which we enjoyed and Fort Cornwallis. Not that much to see in Fort Cornwallis but it was very inexpensive and of historical merit

when I eat cruise food ,vomiting and diarrhea

Hired a taxi for 4 hours, fixed rates, 50 Ringits per hour. Took a trip up to Penang Hill. Took jeep to top rather than the railway to save time. Took golf buggy to outlook for photos then walked up to The Habitat for the most amazing views. Plenty to do up there if you have the time.

We went on the funicular railway excursion. Primarily so my daughter could experience a train. It was ok, but not that great for the money.
